    Default I feel like sh*t

For the last couple of weeks or so I have been feeling pretty rough. And I go through these spells every so often. First off, I feel weak and completely ran down, despite the fact that I eat well, take vitamins and get adequate rest most of the time. Secondly I have these awful night sweats where I wake up soaked and wet. I also have been losing weight without really trying which I am not underweight or anything but I haven't been trying really hard to lose either. I also have been having blurred vision. I have a hard time reading things close up or far away. I feel like I am struggling just to make it some days. My insurance kicks in in a couple of weeks. So, I'll probably go have some bloodwork done and get a complete blood cell count. I was just wondering if anyone else felt this way or knew anyone else who did?

    Sounds like diabetes....

Also, you mentioned (a long time ago) you have endometriosis, which can affect the function of your organs in various ways. Until your insurance kicks in, check out this site for some natural treatments of endo:

Also, try detox teas (there are several good ones at health food stores) to flush your system out.

PM me if you wish, I have learned more about endo & sugar sensitivity than I ever wanted to know....

I don't think it's diabetes, I do manage to check my blood glucose levels occassionally on my grandma's monitor because it does run heavily in my family. I will check out the homeopathic remedies, I haven't tried that route yet for the endometriosis. Although, I haven't been having many problems with it lately, knock on wood. After I got off the pill about a year ago my periods were completely normal and regular until I became sexually active again then they became irregular but the pain is nothing like what it use to be.

any time you have night sweats and weight loss its time to go to the dr. Sometimes that is a sign of leukemia or a variety of other disorders. Get to a Dr and hope all goes well!

Hyperthyroidism, perhaps. Get it checked, you can burn out your thyroid gland if it stays high too long.

I had night sweats/ weight loss. It turned out to be Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I had chemo and I've been in remission over ten years. I also had swollen lymph nodes and itchy skin. It could be so many different things. Just go to the doctor as soon as you can and if your doctor doesnt find anything wrong, get a second opinion.

Could be just anxiety too so don't freak yourself out worrying! I know it's easier said than done because I worry about everything health related, but just get yourself thoroughly checked. I'm sure it could be a lot of things.

The first thing that I thought of when I read that was hormones. Of course, that's the first thing I always think of since I've had so much trouble with mine. Here's a little information I found from womenshealth.about.com/cs/menopause/a/perimenopause.htm

"Did you know that menopause is not actually called 'menopause' until one year after your last period?
Many women begin experiencing symptoms of pre or perimenopause several years before menopause occurs. The age when the signs of premenopause occur varies among women. Some women experience the symptoms of perimenopause in their early thirties, while other women may notice menopausal signs in their forties, and still other women never experience any changes during menopause.

Women who have had hysterectomies with one or both ovaries removed usually experience immediate surgical menopause, as will some hyterectomized women whose ovaries were left intact.

    The Symptoms of Peri-Menopause
    Hot flashes, night sweats, coldness
Irregular periods that can be heavy, light, shorter or longer cycles
Difficulty sleeping either getting to sleep or staying asleep
    Mood changes, anxiety, depression, irritability
Heart palpitations (if you experience any heart disturbances, always consult a physician)
    Dry skin and/or hair loss
Loss of or decreased sexual desire
    Vaginal dryness
    Incontinence
There are many other symptoms that women may experience during the pre-menopause years. Sometimes the symptoms of menopause can be mimicked by other conditions--commonly thyroid disorders--so it's important anytime you experience changes that are different for you that you consult your physician."
