He's also in jail...but he should have been suspended withOUT pay pending investigation.
I love the defense.."Defense lawyer Fred Walker, arguing for a low bail amount, told Lockhart that Tidwell has been married 18 years and spent 22 years in the military and 12 years with the police department."
because married/military guys/cops couldnt POSSIBLY commit a crime....yeah right...
Um... I can't see myself doing that under the threat of a $500 ticket...
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.
Bella21...exactly what I was thinking.
I totally would not have "been cool"when the other cop showed up too...I would have been honking the horn and screaming my head off
Give a badge and a gun to the kid who got picked on and beat up in school...

Welcome to Detroit. Ironically, this is not the first time that has happened in my fair city.
Don't blame the victim here. Authority can be really scary to some people. I doubt the threat of a ticket was what motivated them to comply. My guess is it was just general fear. Abuse of power is one of the worst kinds of crimes imaginable to me. If guilty, this guy is pure evil.
^Absolutely not blaming the victim. Even when I was making minimum wage, I wouldn't have done it under the thread of a $500 ticket... I would guess the cop did something ELSE to threaten them? The article didn't seem to give much info on it.
Some cop had been raping girls after having them pull over under a bridge about 20 miles from me. Finally, some girl did NOT promise to be quiet... so he killed her. I guess if someone has a gun, you do what they say.
