Default She's doing it on purpose!

At first I thought my bird was being clumsy and dropping her toys off the end of the bed. But this time.. the little tramp actually picked up a paperclip, walked to the edge of the bed, wolf whistled at me and dropped it! Then she looked at me like, "Well... pick it up!" I gave it back to her and she did it AGAIN. So I took it away. Now she's doing it with all the American pennies and 5 cent AUD coins I gave her to play with.

    GRRR!!

Just like a fricken child! Man, my friend's baby does this.

    Sorry... just a rant.

What do your pets do that you know is on purpose?

I know she tries to trip me. I know it. Always at te top of stairs. She wants to kill me.

I know she stares at me while I pee/shower/have sex just in order to make me feel nervous.

My cat pukes on my white couch. He never pukes anywhere EXCEPT my white couch, the little fucker. I have to bleach the slipcovers every week. We have hardwood floors throughout our apartment, with linoleum and tile in the bathroom, and he will ONLY puke on my white couch.

Before we lived here, we lived in another apartment that was all hardwood except for carpeted stairs. And the little asshole cat would puke on the carpeted stairs all the time. I swear he deliberately pukes where it will be the hardest to clean it up.

^ BAHAHAHAHA... f***... my Mei Mei throws food at my head sometimes. And at the cats. I thought about teaching her 'here kitty kitty'... but I'm guessing NO!

My dog stands by the door like she's ready to come inside the house. Then, when I go to let her in she runs away from me!
Other times, she cries like she needs to go outside. I walk all the way downstairs and she stops at the treat cupboard and dances around. Ugh. That pisses me off!

My cockatoo opens my kitchen cabinets and moves things around until he finds something he wants to play with. He does it to the dishwasher too. My macaw thinks it's funny to climb on top of the other bird's cage and torment him by talking to him in my voice. Both of them throw food if they aren't in a good mood.

that is classic what the macaw does hehehehehe

my dog (now passed away) used to put one or both of his front paws in the bath when I was sitting in there and then walk his wet paws around the house.

*gasp* We could be BESTEST friends. I want a blue and gold, I'm even setting up an aviary for one just so I can.

The other day I scritched some cockatoos and the cockatoo actually SAID, "Scratch scratch? Scratch me!" I gave him a .20 coin and he was SO happy. Oh god I loooooove big birds! They have SUCH personalities!

When I go home from College to visit, my chihuahua is ecstatic the whole time until she sees me reach for my suitcase. Then she immediately desists showing me any form of affection, and when I scoop her up to tell her goodbye to leave, and I try and get her to give me a kiss, she refuses to make eye contact and won't kiss me. Unless I give her a direct order too in which case she will be sure to not look at me as she sticks her tongue out a millimeter and sticks it to my face real quick and puts it away. Then glances to gauge my reaction and see if I am heartbroken and am now going to stay home instead of leaving without her.

    I love that dog.

that's so funny.. I mean, irritating, but still kinda cute. I love how birds are so freaking smart. There's one at some university, I'll google it in a minute to show a video, but he's a freaking GENIUS... I want a birdie. I had a bird as a child and his name was Tweet Tweet. I was very clever with pet names as a kid.. I also had a cat named Kit Kat. And a teddy bear named Bear... haha

My dog wants me to throw the ball. Or, if the balls not available anything else will work. Like, leaves or little pieces of lint are kind of like balls, you know? So if I'm not in a ball throwing mood he just puts the ball on whatever I'm doing, like on the keyboard or the book I'm reading or whatever. Cause that way I have to move it, and moving it is kind of like throwing it. So we were visiting my mom and she has lots of balls and dog toys laying around her house. She was draining the juice out of a coconut to make a coconut cake and my dog jumped up and dropped the ball IN the bowl of coconut juice.

And it worked. She threw it.

My chocolate Tabby Molly wants you to share with her. If you're at the dining room table, she knows it's off limits, but if you eat something while on the couch, it's fair game.

She sits on the arm of the couch and cocks her head to the side. Too cute. If you ignore her, she tilts further and further until her head is actually ON the couch.

One time, she cocked her head too far and fell off the couch!!!

My cat talks loudly for absolutely no reason. When he wants something, he makes it clear by snuggling (when he wants to snuggle), running to the treat drawer (when he wants a treat), pawing at his water dish so it spills and I have to refill it (when the water is no longer up to par), bringing me his pink mouse (with which to play sort-of fetch) etc. But sometimes he just gets into a mood where he starts talking and doesn't stop for an hour or two. Like he'll just wander around the house chirping and yowling like he has feline tourette's. He doesn't want to be hugged or fed or played with, he's just, it seems, venting. And then suddenly he'll be quiet and stay that way for days.

^^the cat that wonders over every other day or so does this. I'm working on slowly acclimating him to being an indoor kitty( I dont know if he actually belongs to anyone or not...but if so they dont deserve him IMO...allowing an intact male cat to roam in this area is SO irreponsible...but I digress...). He chatters CONSTANTLY...I know he's here before he gets within 3 houses of me..I can hear him talking. I think i'll start calling him Tourettes now!!

Both my cats have odd paper fetishes. The whole bed, couch, whatever can be totally free and if there os ONE tiny piece of paper..thats what they lie down on. That goes double for any paper you happen to be using at the time...if you are lying in bed trying to read..forget it. They will lie down directly on the book and give you a look that clearly says "dont even think of asking me to move....you will pet me now"

My horse tries to shit on my head. It's not coincidental.

Every time I go to wrap his back legs (he's old so he needs tension bandages at night), he'll take a dump. I always manage to see the tail lift at the last second and jump out of the way. Little fucker. There have been some really close calls! I think a manure ball actually grazed my ear once.

I told a friend and she didn't believe me...they all think these horses are so dumb. So I went to wrap the leg, and sure enough he started to push out a poo, and I jumped back---and he stopped!! He stopped and waited for me to resume wrapping so he could aim for my head. Bastard.

When I'd talk on the phone in my old house, my tabby would get on the counter behind me, lean his paws over and plunk them down on my head. Every damn time. He was jealous.

Lol... that is so cute, birds are so clever.

Well: I have 13 snakes at this point and the only thing i can think of that is on purpose with my one Reticulated Python. She is 'hook trained (conditioned actually) what this is, is when food is coming into any of my snakes cages i do not tap them on the head with a long hook.

When no food is coming i open the door and tap until they put the head down and get out of feed mode, means they are coming out to be held, cleaned whatever.

My female Retic. Python hates this. Her sense of smell is fantastic compared to my other lazy guys. She does not smell food, she hides her head under the lip of her vision cage. Pretty damn clever for a snake.

When it's feed time it's open door real quick throw food in (i feed dead) cover doors with a large towel and leave the room until about two hours later and she is out of feed mode.

Pretty cool. We would not have snake deaths in cages if more snake owners 'hook trained' They don't like it, and do fear it enough to back away.

Sorry...kind of long. But that's her thing.

    on purpose?

the birman picks the carpet right by me. or picks the carpet in my room at 3 in the morning. (like scratching but more picking individual loops)

she knows she's not allowed to, but since 'her father' let her do it when she was little, she keeps trying it on.

i have a squirter bottle that she has become adept at avoiding. i can now just make the squirter sound to stop her. ah, pavlov my friend.

it is now the pick n' run... when she hears the 'cat blinder' coming her way. (it's only water, i just call it cat blinder)

Hey that's funny... my Farley Drexel loves paper too. I tend to do schoolwork in my bed with all my drafts and handouts and whatnot spread out around me. He will launch himself onto the bed, purring like a big furry vibrator, and settle himself into a position in which he comes into contact with the most pieces of paper possible. Every now and again he'll roll over onto a different sheet of paper. The funniest part is, no matter how deeply he appears to be sleeping, he snaps back to alertness as soon as you try to extract a sheet from under him. Then it's Paper War Time in which he swats/grabs at the paper/your hand with his front feet while kicking/bunnyhopping with his back feet.

But awwwwa, he's a special little furry crescent. Right now he's pretending to be a comma right here next to me. Today I cut off his springtime dreadlocks and trimmed his fingernails and he only chomped me a little bit. He is totally my favorite.

When my cat wants attention, he knocks things off tables and chairs. Eg, if I'm watching TV and he wants me to pay attention to him, he will look directly at me, make this weird chirping noise, and knock the remote control off the coffee table with his paw.

My cat at my parent's house loves paper too! His favorite season is Christmas... he loooooves barging in on me wrapping presents. He'll jump onto the bed where I'm wrapping them. Then, he'll paw carefully at it before gleefully curling himself into a ball right on top of it. Its soooo cute but it ruins the wrapping paper. Maybe they like the crackling sound.

My cat loves paper too! It's so cute cause she will sleep in what looks like the most uncomfortable positions just to be on it. She also has this wierd thing where I think she is afraid of her own poop. She will poo, scratch the litter violently and bolt into the living room at top speed. Then she meows until I comfort her. I thought maybe it hurt her to poo so i asked the vet and switched her diet a few times but she wont quit. Hehe poophobia.
