No, I haven't come down with a case of newbie-esque amnesiaI know that usually, it's better to go in person when asking for an audition at a new club.
BUT..when the club's a long drive, across state lines and all...does that still apply? Is it reasonable for me to call first instead? I know they like to see what they're talking to about auditioning...but it makes sense to me to call and ask when would be a good time to come in first. I would fucking hate to drive all the way there only to have them say "we don't do auditions on (insert current day)", when I could ahve just as easily found that out over the phone and saved the hassle. If it was in my city, or hell, even in my state, there'd be no question--I'd just go in person. But...an hour drive...eeek.
Or am I just being lazy?Should I bite it and just make the drive and see what's up?
(Oh and don't worry, nicole84 my dear, I'm not leaving you!hehe. I've come to the conclusion that I really do adore my club, but I need to work somewhere else at the same time, just to mix things up a bit. I get stale and my money drops off if I don't get a little change of scenery, 'tis all.)
