    Default Chinese pole

This stuff is great! It's way more along the lines of what I have been working on than the stuff I see onstage, much as I love that too. Has anyone seen it? I heard about it on a forum for pole dancing, here:

    Great site! Thanks for sharing.

Just wondering, does anyone know why it's called "Chinese pole" in the UK?

OK, what if I get one, can I put it up then? I have plenty of cash, it would be worth it to share with everyone. I will PM you and open an account so I can post it--after I finally sleep and wake up, lol!

Chinese pole is very different than pole dancing!

I have taught 2 men who do this!

The pole is larger and coated with a stick rubber. Makes it easier to grip.

There are about 10 sites worldwide, that are designated to pole dancing...I have one! This one is fairly new...but good info!

I just joined your forum, too.

Are the poles more flexible than brass poles? What are they made of?

I am thinking of making a unique, somewhat flexible pole out of this 10 foot length of PVC pipe, by running a steel cable through the center, and stuffing the intervening space with rope and/or liquid rubber or something that will bond with the PVC plastic on the inside. Then on the outside probably follow short skirts advice and coat it with fiberglass.

So it would be a composite, and hopefully have the additional strength yet be flexible, just like the very powerful composite bows some of the ancient archers used.

I don't think I want a rubber coating on the outside like they use, but it could be added later if I wanted.
