    Default Stress knots on head

Ive had these before but this one hurts all the time. I havent been too stressed lately just and emotional rollacoaster. Its basically 2 small bumps on the back of my head near my hairline on the right side. Ive always just ignored them before and now its hurting me. What are they? How can I get rid of them and keep them from coming back?

That's muscle tension forming itself into knots. I get the same thing. If I ignore it, they immobilize my neck. Take some Advil, then take some time to relax. If you can, wet down 5 washcloths and nuke them for a few minutes. Now, (this works best with a partner) place one washcloth flat on your upper back/neck. The other four should be rolled to about the size of eggrolls and placed on top of the flat washcloth, parallel to the spine, spread across your back. Place a towel on top of all of it to keep in the heat. Stay there for 15 minutes and let the heat sink in. If it starts to burn, place another flat washcloth under the one you have there already.

Now, you can do this without a partner, but it's easier with help.

As for getting them to go away completely, one word: relax. Women generally carry their tension in their upper back/ shoulder/neck area. Let go of some of that tension by relaxing. Try

Fudge! I swear I just told Cin about this last night! Didn't I Cin??? I have two of these in my head right now.

There's no other possible cause, at least I know now.

I like to do self massage. You could get 1 professional massage and then learn how to do some self-massage if you are not able to go frequently.

The washcloths should work, but keep in mind that you could have a blocked sweat gland or an allergic reaction to a combination of chemicals occurring where your hair care products interact with laundry detergent or soething similar.

If the washcloths don't work, try PART of an antihistamine, and see if that makes a difference.

I get this..it is actually(on me) the tendons that attatch my skull to my spine locking up and siezing. Heat and massage work wonders, as does reg. chiropractic visits. Speaking of which..I should get my ass to the chiro soon...
