Default not enough girls, not MY fault

ok, i have this customer who comes in once or twice a week. he always gives me a few hundred just because, but he'll buy a champagne room if i ask. the manager always gives him a discount price, which means im getting about $50 less per bottle. that's ok with me, because if the guy feels like anybody is pushing him for money, he won't spend. and he gives me more than enough to make up for it. my point in telling you guys this is that he kinda does things his own way, no matter what benefits the girls. he's only been there for 4 months, and he never asked me if i was ok with doing the room for less or even told me he was doing so until afterwards. i WAS ok with it, but it irks me that he didnt ask.

so friday night he comes in, and we immediately go upstairs. i took a girl that i'm friends with up with us. the manager had the nerve to ask the customer if he minded having us stay in rotation and still have to work the floor and dance on stage (even though we were doing vip) because he didn't have enough girls. i was FLOORED. why in the world should i be told i can't do vip because he cant get girls to come in? they doubled house fees this week, and want us to start tipping out the new promotion guy so they dont have to pay him! things arent going well for them, and that sucks and all.. but i am not here for the club. i'm there to make money. i refused to continue working the floor, and when our time was up (to the MINUTE) i was called on stage instantly.

what am i supposed to do? i didnt want to leave because then i wouldn't get my vip money til the end of the night.. but he's MY customer, not the manager's. hes constantly doing things like this and im about to quit because i'm so frustrated.

that's crazy..you are totally right on this. One time almost all the dancers were up in VIP at my club, and they just took a break from stage dancing for awhile, until more girls came in (granted this was a dayshift).

Man fuck that noise. Get your money! I'm not surprised girls aren't coming in when he is treating them like this.

i dont know what to do when i go back wednesday.. i want to call this guy to tell him to come in, because it's an easy $500 (at least) every time he comes in, for 2-3 hours of talking and drinking. by 10, i've made enough that i could (in theory) leave for the night. but on the other hand, i don't want to deal with my manager being an ass and unfair like that.

well.. i COULD, except i work day shift when i work there. if i go back like i planned for summer, i'll only be there til 7. this guy can't do that. and i can't work nights there because i'd rather avoid the problems that made me quit to begin with.

between a rock and a hard place huh?

in the end you just have to weigh up the pros and cons of the ramifications of each action ... and make a decision... it isn't going to be a win/win situation unfortunately... something is going to have to budge by the sounds of it.

oh.. and increasing house fees and tipping out the promo guy because they can't be bothered paying him... how the hell are you supposed to tip out the promo guy if you aren't making any money ... and how the hell do they think they will keep girls with such bullshit?

yet again another example of clubs being loyal to themselves only

why girls think they have to be loyal to any club is beyond me

i'm only staying at my current local club because i honestly don't see other options and i do like the flexibility (only having to work two nights per week - optional to work more) I am given there which I will only find at one other club locally (and i'm shit scared of that other club as it has always been regarded as a 'dive')

    Ahhh, yet another delusional manager!
Don't be afraid to speak up and let him know that his policies aren't making the girls want to stay. Tell him that it's not even economical for anyone to pull you out of VIP to dance on stage. And let him know that the promotion guy is obviously not doing his job, or there would be more business going on. If he wants a tip, he needs to really EARN it by having a busy club available for the dancers to hustle in. Remember, YOU are paying them. If they are not providing you with a good place to work, it's not your responsibility to cover their asses.

Sounds like typical DejaVu bullshit. You're working at Hustler huh? This is similar to some crap they were pulling when I was there, and they managed to run off most of their girls because of it. The owner's son, what'shisname, was such a little piece of shit, he was the WORST of all the "managers" there and really made things miserable. Quite frankly I'm a little surprised that place is still in business, considering the idiotic way they run it.

I'd say go to another club, but I know in Bmore the choices aren't that great. But there ARE a couple other clubs worth a try. I'd take my customers and move on to another club.

haha, its not hustler.. but it does sound like it. i danced at hustler for 4 days before i realized that i could NEVER work for deja vu again.

if it happens again, it will be the last night i work there. i've had so many problems with this club and i try to pretend like i dont because i love the girls i work with. that's important to me, because a lot of girls at other clubs ive been at think i'm bitchy, whatever, because i'm NOT there to make friends. its nice and all, but my goal is money.

i'm thinking about trying out dc soon anyway. i kinda wanna try out other places this summer, too, so we'll see. i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks this ws ridiculous!

edit: i'm also going to work my normal 3 days this week, hustle my hardest, and see if i'm making the money that i want to make. if not, i'm not wasting any more time here.

Yet another example of how shitty strip club managers are and how they really don't know what the hell they are doing...
God, grant me the senility, to forget the people I never liked anyway,
The good fortune to run into the ones that I do,
And the eyesight to know the difference.

He doubled the house fees and now he doesn't understand why he doesn't have enough dancers? Is he really that stupid? My cat could figure that one out!

Who cares if no one's on stage. You ARE a free agent, after all. If you want money, you need to work where you'll make it (i.e. VIP). I can't believe girls aren't quitting when your manager is being such a prick. If there are no girls for stage because they're all in VIP, than your club needs to hire more girls, or the customers need to purchase VIPs.
It's NOT your fault if there aren't enough girls. Stupid club, stupid manager.
People equate sexy with promiscuous. They think that because I'm shaped this way, I must be scandalous - like running around and bringing men into my hotel room. But it's just the opposite.
