I'm 5'4" and usually wear 6" with a 2" platform. They are very comfortable for me. I have worn 8" on occasion, and I do love how they make me move, but, I am not stable enough in them.

I'm 5'2 and usually wear 5-6 inchers. Dancing has for the first time in my life made me thankful that I'm short. I don't want to look like an amazon woman-plus, I would think it would intimidate guys if you're taller than them.
I'm 5'9 but wear 7" heels. I've tried the 6" but they hurt my feet more because the platform/heet ratio is bigger.

I'm five six and I like the six inchers. I had a pair of 4/five inch heels and a pair of two inch heels that I used to wear sometimes when my feet were super-sore, and I never felt like I could dance right in them.

I know this is going off topic a bit... but how is this measuring thing supposed to work??
When you are a kid and your first toe is longer then your second....does it mean you will be a min. height when older ? And they typically measure the distance from an ear to eye? or ear to ear and then eye to eye? LOL![]()
I can't believe I never even heard of this...i feel sheltered damnit.![]()
(I have no idea why I find this very very interesting....start to worry if I begin traveling w/ a tape measure ...LOL)
haha I have no idea what they do measure exactly, I wasnt being literal, but I know a lot of kids, around age 2 get these things done and then they predict how tall you will be based on how much you've grown from birth to that point. And I'm not even sure if it's two, but I think it's something near there...
I'm 5'7" used to wear 5-7" heels...usually a 6 1/2 heel would be my fav though... I am pretty lean so I wouldn't look as daunting.....I've gotten comments about my height though.

I'm 5'8" and I stick with 5 inchers. When I first started dancing I was wearing 3- 4 inchers and the custys were already in awe, stating how I was a giant on stage, which of course I took as a total compliment. Plus the 5 inchers that I own have a very chunky heel, which I love. I may try 6 inchers later on, but I think that is the tallest I would ever go. Besides I just LOVE my 5" chunksters!

I'm 5'6" and I tend to wear 7" heels. I feel that my legs look chunky in the more petite 6" heels and with 8" heels my thick legs overpower the rest of me! I wear everything every once in a while though and lately I've been trying very hard to wear 6" heels simply because I am indeed a bit too tall for most gents being 6'1" in the heels..

I'm 5'3, wear 7's, 8's, and 8.5's (inches).
I'm 5'9'' and I love my 6"...I do on occasion wear my 7.5" as well. I have a blast with them, and although most customers comment that i'm REALLY tall-they also tend to buy a dance with me. Although one time 2 females came into the club, the one looked at me and said "You're too tall" and gave me the most disgusted look. I wanted to tell her she was too ugly...but I didn't. I just went about my business making more money. That was probably the rudest thing anyone has said to me at the club so far. The girls I dance with are really nice, and often say they like the way I look with my 7.5 clears on. I think it doesn't matter as long as you are confident![]()
I'm not quite 5' tall (4' 11" 3/4) and I love the 7" heels. I'm cool in a pair of 6"'s , but I dance best in 7"'s... They boost me up to about 5' 6" or so... Hooray for stilts!
I recently got a pair of 8"'s but that extra inch throws me off a bit... It'll take some getting used to, but they are fun!

This is a very common mistake. Forgetting platforms for a moment, 6 inch heels don't make you 6 inches taller. The most you can get out of heels is about 3 1/2". This is because after the first 3-4 inches your ankle swings forward rather than up. Give it a try with your shoes off and you'll see what I mean. Easiest thing to do is to mark your height on the wall then put your shoes on and mark your height again. Then measure the difference between the marks. I'm 6-4 and I've dated girls who were 6' tall. With 6" heels on they were still shorter them me.
Platforms are another matter. They do add height directly. They also decrease the angle of your foot. I don't like 'em because I like to watch my dates work hard with that high angle.
i'm four eleven and i wear six inch heels

I'm 5 foot 11 inches and I only wear 6 inch heels when I'd get in trouble if I didn't. I honestly prefer 3-4 inches. With the larger heels, some guys are honestly intimidated out of spending money, and I never got the hang of walking naturally in those monsters. In shorter heels, I dance better, I feel more comfortable, and I'm not head and shoulders above some of my customers, but I am still tall enough to catch the eye of customers who are into that.

I wish they made 4.5" heels with a platform-I would love that.
