We are women. We rise from the wave.

Yea had a book about it. A large fish bowl at my door etc. I don't know...Guess i don't believe that you place certain items in certain areas and there is a balance.
The headboard of the bed is to be facing in a certain (forgot) direction like north for example.
Was different. seemed like alot of work, and nothing happens.

i've always been intrigued by it but never totally bought into it. i might pick up RoseLeigh's book, sounds like some good fluff to read when i go on a cruise with my family in a few weeks.
Love it!

I'm intrigued by it but don't really know much about it. Two things that I have implemented though are to:
1) keep the bed with both sides open (don't push the side against the wall.) That's supposed to allow new people or relationships to come into your life
2) fountains should flow in a direction that is INTO the house, not OUT. That way money and luck will come into your home.
Maybe it's corny, but it makes me feel good.![]()

I used to read a lot about this stuff. What I got most from it though was more of an abstract concept of the visual input one surrounds themself with. It seemed that it wasn't so much the technicalities or the rules, but more what it means to you and how it makes you feel.
For example, I have a round dining room table. One of the "rules" in certain versions of feng shui (everyone has their own interpretation) :-), is that you should avoid sharp corners on furniture if possible. Like square or rectangle tables. So when i went shopping I wanted a round table. But conceptually to me, it was more of a representation of equality in my household (or the aspiration of it). Usually rectangle tables signify that there is a head (or 2) of the table, and the sideliners are just that.... accessories. So to me, I thought of it very King Arthur like, and wanted to have a round table. Also, to me it represented connection, where as with cornered furnitures, there is a point that divides one side from another.
Now, in having this round table, I didn't find that it brought me more wealth or luck or anything. But whenever I see it, I am reminded of these concepts I mentioned. And just like LoveSexMoney said, it makes me feel good.
So probably the best advice I could give would be to feel free to draw your own conclusions of the "rules" if you wish, and think about what the changes/rearrangements represent to you. You've always struck me as an intellectual and thoughtful person from what I gather of you, so I'm sure you've already got that covered :-)
Enjoy your exploration and reading :-)

"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"
One of the big things about Feng Shui is to eliminate the clutter. All that crap we have on our tables, beds, floors, needs to find a space, either inside the house or in the trash.
That's the hard part for me. I can move furniture around, but I can't seem to get rid of the clutter. Just when I think I have that managed, I mess everything up again.![]()
