Doesn't look very sexy, either. I love a tiny cinched waist, but not to the point that it messes up the hourglass silhouette and rolls are squeezed out over the top.![]()

I don't like it when they have a waist that tiny. It makes their hips look too big for their body and it's just unattractive.
She's been training for a while. When you corset train for a long time, your btorso can no longer support your body. You actually have to wear the corset all the time. Sick huh?
It's like those cambodian and thai (and I think they may do it in Africa somewhere too) where they elongate a woman's neck with those metal rings and can never take them off cause the neck bones won't be able to support the head any longer...

I watched a show about this the other night on SexTV. There is one woman who holds the World Record for having the smallest waist....15inches! She has corset trained since her teens I guess and now she is in her 60's. It looks kinda gross...
That corset doesn't look like it fits properly. It shouldn't be that squished and rolling over up top.
Just looks painful.
someones been on perez!!!!!!!!!!

Well.... I'm a fan of that look. I dunno, I find it intensely sexy. If I could get my waist that small I’d be a happy camper. Of course, the times have changed and 99% of people don’t find that to be appealing. I guess I’m the exception. Also, corset training doesn’t hurt if done gradually. I’m down to 21.5” right now corseted and I feel no pain. Plus my posture is better. No one can tell since I only wear my corset to bed and at home, when I work I just look like I have a normal, smallish waist.

these are suppose to be good to get a smaller waist.
if i had the balls, i'd get my lower ribs removed to have it like Thalia(Tommy Matola's wife).i love her tiny waist!

This lady got her waist down to 14" http://www.spook.dk/

^^^Goodness. I've always had an interest in corset training (still do) but this is extreme. This makes me want to pray for that girl.

Um, gross. I do not get the appeal. It looks like a deformity.
yeah, ok.. stories.. It's like saying that because you wear high heels all the time, you can't physically flatten your foot anymore.
The human body can deal with alot, and corsetry/tightlacing isn't really that hardcore.
I'm a huge fan of tightlacing, although i don't do it myself (only because it wouldn't fit in with my lifestyle). I can get down to 21" from my regular 25.5" waist, and i certainly don't have any problems.
The girl in that pic is probably only down to 20 or 21" - most stories about women getting down to 14" are just that - stories.

Ahhh I used to be able to get down to 20"..... I should get back into that. It's so much fun, and i love the look (sans the rolls over the top of the corset... ew)

Omg I love Spook! Just kidding! She's who I thought of when I saw this thread, and that was the first time I'd seen any 8 inch "ballarina boots" heels....here I thought I was the only sick 14 yr old on the planet getting weirded out at 3am by Spook--thanx for all the memories!!![]()
I would consider doing corset training(not this extreme). I'd love to enhance my hourglass figure, plus I think it would help my back problems. But the corsets are SOOOO expensive. Even on ebay they are $100-$200 each..and you are supposed to change them to smaller sizes every few weeks according to what I read...hell thats a car payments worth of corsets a month. Damn...
I find it sexy, but it's definitely not mainstream. I am a corsetier, so I also appreciate it from a technical point of view as well as a sexy point of view.
There is a LOT of urband legendry surrounding corsetry, some of it very old. A lot of what was urban legends or fetishism in the Victorian age has come to be thought of as fact now. For example, one can waist train and tightlace down to very small sizes (18 is the smallest that most hardcore tightlacers go, with very few exceptions. I believe I've read that 18 is what Dita laces to) and not have to wear a corset all the time. If one does wear one nearly 24/7 for a very extended period of time, it will weaken the back muscles, but the idea that tightlacing means having to wear a corset or be injured due to back weakening is untrue. No offense is meant to the lady who made this statement; it is very widely believe. This untrue factoid was reported sensationalistically in the Victorian era by anti-corset advocates, and as it appears in seemingly legitimate historical documents, it is widely believed.
For those interested in the history of corsetry, including a lot of information about misconceptions both modern and antiquated, I really recommend The Corset by Valerie Steele. It's also a very pretty book.
It's both better and worse than you think. Better in that you certainly do not need a new corset every few weeks. One can get a corset, initially wear it with a 3" gap in the back, and lace down over the course of several MONTHS on average until it is fully closed. If you still want to go farther, you can get a second one at that point.
The "worse" news is that you should be really REALLY leary of a $100 corset. I'll make $100 corsets for friends, but you really should not tighlace on anything that is not custom made for your measurements and which does not undergo a fitting of a mockup during the creation process. You caaaan find proper corsetiers to make a proper tightlacer for $100 of $150 if you're lucky, but usually a $100 ebay corset is going to be fitted to a waist size, not to your specific measurements. And while it's generally fine to wear a fashion corset that you don't use to reduce your waist more than about 3 or 4 inches that's still a proper corset and which is sized purely in waist size (the size generally being the waist size at the smallest point with the corset fully clothed), unless you just happen to be EXACTLY average in every other measurement for your waist size, you should not waist train with such a thing.
I don't find it very appealing at all.
That's not very attractive, in my honest opinion. I think a small, defined waist is sexy, but as with everything, it should be appropriate and in 'moderation'.
People equate sexy with promiscuous. They think that because I'm shaped this way, I must be scandalous - like running around and bringing men into my hotel room. But it's just the opposite.
