I have a self inflicted black eye. Stop laughing people. I walked into a door . Anyhoo, it looks so trashy. Any idea how long it takes to subside or how to get rid of it faster?

You could take some arnica tablets or use the arnica cream - although I dont know if its suitable for the face.

Use a compress of frozen peas.

Off-topic, but I had a (ginormous-chested) friend who said she didn't run or jog because she didn't want black eyes. And that's what popped into my head when you said, black eye, don't laugh.. haha
But yeah, I've heard RAVES about that arnica..To alleviate dark, swollen bruises, apply a gel containing arnica every three hours to encourage healing. Or, apply a tincture or cream to the affected area. Arnica traditionally has been used for muscle aches, sprains and bruises. The gel should improve the swelling, stiffness and discoloration. Some people have a reaction to arnica, so if your skin becomes red, itchy or inflamed, discontinue use.
Good luck w/ that, hon!
Thanks !
Thanks !

My last one was bad and took about 5-7 days without arnica etc.
What happened was that my son gave me a huge black eye when he was a baby. He woke up one day, crawled onto my bed sort of slipped a little and head butted me chipping my cheekbone a little, lol! he was fine of course!
