Curves was just normal busy. We have an outside smoking area now.
Damn! I'm home sick for the week, but now I'm even more excited about working next week. Hope my luck will be as good as yours : ).
they banned smoking in all public venues here a couple of years ago (i don't remember how long, but it's been awhile) and it's been awesome - it hasn't deterred the smokers from going out, since it's everywhere, and it's made it easier for people who have problems with smoke (allergies etc) to actually go out and spend![]()

Yay I love it!! I worked Monday night and at 10 to midnight they came around and collected all the ashtrays, it was a beautiful site!
Well sadly enough I'm still a smoker. I thought yesterday was gonna be the day to quit, but at 5pm I caved and went outside. I don't understand why something so disgusting and deadly is so damn hard to stop! Anyhow, I did like it much better at work without all the second hand stinky smoke. Didn't really notice a change in custie numbers either way..

The dust storm that blew in right around the time I usually leave for work was enough to keep me home last night. Working tonight. Go Suns!!!! Will report back.

A good friend of mine that works at Babydolls had a good night last night, as opposed to the very slow, terrible nights she's been having. She's going to work a double shift today and I'll let you all know how it goes.
I think that is fantastic. I cannot WAIT for Oregon to pass a ban.
I'm confused, but the Chewbacca Truffle Shuffle cleared it up. - Emily
I love the ban! The club-and the dressing room- were so much more bearable.
I want a smoking ban!
Georgia has a smoking ban in restaurants but not bars.![]()
That is so awesome to hear! I was working in RI when it went non-smoking- and business dropped drastically! It has since picked back up- but it was rough for a few months post-ban. I live in AZ now and was worried about the smoking ban (been out of work for a while, was sick) but I'm starting back next week and it's good to know I can come home not smelling like an ash tray!

I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.
NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

Good point, I never started. I hacked up a lung when I tried it in 7th grade and never had the desire to touch one again. Now if I could just somehow feel that way about peanut butter....

Business was normal at HL but there were waaaaaayyy too many girls - trying make that last minute rent money as usualWe had about 2 girls per guy all night long. I managed to do ok but it was tough because every time I'd make the rounds nearly all the guys would already have a girl on his lap. It was very much a case of who gets there first.
But it was only because too many chics showed up. The crowd was normal for a Tuesday and they were spending.
It was sooo nice without all the smoke. The whole building smelled so much better, and it's GREAT going home without that stink on me. YAY!!!

I remember hearing about the ban and am glad it started. I wish it would happen as a nationwide ban. I think the club smoke is causing me breathing problems.

If you work dayshift, a large number of your "new" customers are probably non-smoking married guys that avoided clubs because they got tired of trying to hide the smell of smoke coming home on their clothes, hair, etc. (This has never mattered to me; the temptation/addiction always beats out my fear) However, I expect the new law will be quite liberating for lots of guys in this situation. I for one won't have to carry my "club uniform" around in my vehicle any more!
Now, if we could get all of you dayshift ladies to lighten up on the perfume, heavy body makeup, and especially glitter, we would be all set!![]()

Ya know, I went in this afternoon and did well before 10. Several guys mentioned being happy about the ban. After 10 I made fuckall and left early. We did not get a big post-game crowd and that is really unusual. Plus there were entirely too many girls who showed up at 9-10, again. I think I'm gonna do more of the midshift thing![]()

I really think earlier hours are best nowadays. Even where I work out in no mans land, the older guys who spend money come out early. If I haven't done well by 8- 9 or so, the night is not going to be good. These guys hit the clubs on their way home from work. The late night guys are looking for "dates", or if you can sell them are the one dance types.
*Imagines how much better my former home club is now smoke free*

I TOTALLY disagree. I work 8-2 religiously. Whenever I go in early I get sooo frustrated with the guys who are trolling for a girl to "party with" later on that night. 8-10 is steady, the momentum picks up around 10. The last hour of the night is when I usually double my earnings: lazy girls leave and the custies that are left start spending because they sat there drinking all night and haven't had a dance yet. If they have funny money, they have to spend it by the end of the night so tips are more generous.

It really depends on the customer flow of your club. Christies Phx doesn't have the same daytime momentum as Hi-Liter. And if you are a dancer with somewhat of an established clientele, those guys tend to come out earlier.
Some nights where I work ,we have enough foot traffic older non-regulars where I make the bulk of my money the last hour or two, but many nights the last two hours is the party type crowd who doesn't spend much.
If you are a dancer working the crowd from scratch, early hours in some clubs may not have enough guys not there to see their favorites to keep you busy.

Well lately at HL it seems the spenders who USED TO go there at night aren't going anymore, or at least not so much. AND the number of girls on nights has increased dramatically, to the point that most nights you're lucky to find a spender with an empty lap all night long. The fact that all these chics just keep flooding in from other clubs does NOT help. More girls than guys in the club most nights = not good. I used to do really well at night at HL, but lately I do better midshift, catching the guys coming in after work.
Also, after going in early, I'm too tired to hang out and wait for the 1-2:30am crunch, and too bored and annoyed to wait on the alkies to get drunk![]()
Bridgette.. do you dance under that stage name? Are you the wicked hot and talented chick w/ the glasses and big boobs? I was working lastnight at HiLiter (my first night back in awhile) and I think that was you- but not sure- but if it was- Damn girl- ur hot!!!
I'm Skye btw- in case we're ever working together- y'know who I am![]()
