Default a good skin tip for ur face

i have found a method that works great. so i wanted to share it. Its so simple.

I wash my face twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night. I always wash with a facial cleanser. At the same time i ALWAYS use an exfloliater (usually apricot). Using them together also cuts down on time it takes washing ur face. After drying off i ALWAYS immediately put lotion of my face. This is so great because its always gets off all of my makeup, dirt, oil...

If you wear waterproof mascara or eyeliner, the easiest cheapest way is to use to get it off is by wiping it with lotion and a tissue. I swear it works. Its good to do it before washing coz it makes less to wash off. Then it anything is left over after washing you can wip off more then put lotion of ur face.

I really would suggest not using cheap/crappy scented types of lotion but rather something like Aveno, St Ives, Jergens .. etc..

I dont get acne anymore because the dead skin is always removed.
It also makes makeup look smoother when you put it on.
And when doing this on a daily basis it makes it easier to wash off the makeup coz there is no dead peeling skin for it to stick to.

    hope this helps. =)

I love removing my eye makeup (even waterproof mascara & glitter!) with extra virgin olive oil.

apricot scrub is too harsh for the face, it causes microscopic tears leading to skin imperfections later in life

yup...and i've read that over exfoliating is bad for your skin in general. it weakens the tissue and leads to premature wrinkling.

i find that the less i do to my face, the happier it is. i mean, i do what i need to dp to remove the make up and dirt (usually w cetaphil and no water) and i use exfoliants with round beads (synthetic, i believe) that won't scratch my skin.

this wouldnt work for everyone. I personally cant wash my face that much it makes me break out. I rinse my face in the shower every day and wipe it down with my exfoliating glove. I wash it every few days using a really fine exfoliater after the cleanser. I put lotion on some times, but I generally forget. I gont get zits very often and when I do its generally due to my period and then I do was every day, usually.

try adding baking soda to your cleanser.. its gritty enough but not enough to be damaging .. i dont think! could be wrong but seems a safe cheap and been around a long time alternative
heck use it on your whole body.. i plan on buying a large glass cookie jar thing and filling it to the brim with baking soda and setting it by my shower so I can just grab handfuls as I shower the little orange box sure makes a mess

I use St Ives apricot facial scrub and cleanser and love it. But I dont have sensitive or proe to breakout skin..and mu skin tends to be dry so exfoliating daily helps me a lot.

It all depends on your skin type.

well yeah, it feels good, and it makes your skin look good temporarily, but it's short term gratification because you won't see the damage it does until you are old and have weird wrinkles and spots etc

Yeah, I heard that about apricot scrubs...

I still use them occasionally though, because they make my skin feel amazing.

try using a product containing salicylic acid instead. it's a chemical exfoliant and much gentler on the skin.
