What are the odds of finding these shows?

When I was a kid, I was a big fan of two animated shows which aired very briefly on Nickelodeon: Mysterious Cities of Gold, and Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea. I've never met anyone who has ever even heard of these shows, but I remember them vividly; I can still sing both theme songs word-for-word. On a whim just now I looked them up on Wikipedia, and discovered they did in fact exist!

Turns out Spartakus was a French show originally called Les Mondes Engloutis, and MCoG was a French/Japanese co-production. Neither show appears to be available on DVD in the United States, but they're both available in France. Unfortunately, I do not understand French. So does anyone know where I could purchase or download these shows, either dubbed or subtitled? When I watched them on Nickelodeon they were dubbed, but I'm totally fine with subtitles now.

I'll ask K to look on his bit-torrent website for a download, but if anybody knows where I could get them on DVD or VHS, you would have my eternal gratitude. I would LOVE to see these shows again.

And BTW, am I still the only one who ever watched them, or has anyone here ever seen them?

Yek, is this what you're talking about?

There might be some bootleg copies floating around.

Yes, that's one of them. They're two separate series, although Nickelodeon aired them together.

Bootleg copies or downloads would be fine with me. Where would I look?

I dunno about those shows specifically, but I was able to find old, kinda rare shows and movies on bootleg DVDs via sellers at anime and comic conventions. I found Winds Of Time, Asterix, all kinds of old 70s and 80s kids shows... sci-fi stuff.

How long did the episodes run for?
I just looked up a bunch of shows on youtube last night that I loved from the early 70's and found heaps on there. If the full shows are too long to be on there you might at least find some bits n pieces which are good for nostalgias sake. (-:

Me neither.. I think you were at work when I was initially posting in this thread and feeling like a loser... maybe we're of a younger generation (nickelodeon-wise) than the OP
