Default Music for a pirate show

    Hello all

I need your expertise in picking out pirate style music for one
of the Dancers set. She is doing her show on Friday and I told
her I would ask the experts....yeah that's you!

She has a gold and white outfit with white lace
and feathers in the hat. Thigh high boots and boot
    toppers.

    Any suggestions on music?

    Thanks in advance

I had another feature that was just trying the pirate theme out for the first time, and she asked me to help with music. Sad to say, pirates aren't a popular theme for songs. I used every possible search query I could think of, and I don't think I came up with one song. I even attempted it just now, and nothing struck my attention. You're friend might have a tough time with this one.

Yeah Chipz - Captain Hook is awesome... other than that, it's REALLY hard to find pirate music. There's heaps on the PotC soundtrack but it's all instrumental stuff, so not really dance worthy.

For my pirate set, I use a 15-20 second intro of "He's a Pirate" from PotC, then come out to Chipz - Captain Hook. After that, I just dance to music I like... I think after that my set has Pink & Gwen Stefani.

Thanks for the Captain hook recommendation, I think
that will work great. I have a couple ideas for the 2nd and third songs.
I'll post them is she thinks they will work with the theme.

    Thanks again

I was struck by a moment of inspiration earlier today... The Hole cover of "Gold Dust Woman." Don't use the Fleetwood Mac version, it's too folky.

Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly! Susan, you are more kick-ass than you know. A dancer after my own heart. So glad to see someone is keeping good music alive and relevant!!!

Wish I were there to see it!
