    Default Business cards?

I'm thinking of having business cards printed up. Nothing too expensive, with a cute pic of me, my myspace and website info printed on it. I could write my weekly schedule on the back and give it to potential regulars. It could be a good way of helping them remember me, helping me to stand out. What do you all think of this? Has anyone ever done this?

Yup, for a while now. It's legal where I am (not sure about your area). I have a pic on my card with my website and email addy. The card matches the website. I post my schedule, email, picture slideshow etc. I don't put my face on the card or site though, just my personal preference. Guys seem to really like the cards.

I have seen VERY FEW girls do this over the years, and I imagine the vast majority of those cards get tossed on the guys' way out the door. Most of our customers don't want something like that to carry around as "incriminating evidence". I don't think I'd waste my time or money with that.

I did consider that possibility, Bridgette. However, I am in Portland, OR, which makes a difference. Strip clubs are everywhere here, and pretty popular. I'd love to hear from more ladies who use business cards...Do they help get you repeat business? What are your customers reactions to them?

I think business cards are pretty essential in LA. I had two sets printed up because I changed my name and got a NetZero "fake" phone number. Unfortunately I changed clubs and I'm not sure if I'm going back to the same one so I might have to get new ones made. But hell, why not? They're not expensive. You can even get free ones if you pay for the shipping.
    Try

I definitely had guys call me for repeat visits. Some wanted OTC but I know the whole system works! I find a good method is to only give it to the guys who get more than 3 dances. Then the chances of them being found all over the club or thrown out is less. Guys who spend more tend to end up as regs.

I designed my own and print them myself currently. Super cheap, and a write-off.

After years of emailing guys my schedule, I decided to just post my schedule on a website. I got tired of writing down the address or relaying it to them for their Blackberry, so I made the cards to save time. I give them to my regs and new guys who are fun to be with, good spenders and interested in knowing when they can see me again. Many guys do pitch them once they've been to the site (but what do I care), and many of my regs still pull them out of their wallets "look I still have your card". lol

I received 3 thank-you emails for last night's shift, and 2 confirmations for visits to the club this week. So, it works great for me and is well worth the investment for paper and ink. I don't give my cards out outside of the club, to guys I didn't enjoy spending time with, or guys who ask me out. After 15 years in the biz I prefer guys I don't have to bs, who take it for what it is.
They all know I have an awesome boyfriend in the biz too. So yeah, a bit unconventional for a stripper, but much less exhausting for me personally.

I'm planning on doing this but keeping them less conspicuous. I agree with Bridgette - I don't think it's the kinda thing guys want around for wives or girlfriends to possibly find. So I think a simple email and nice business look would be best.

I doubt very seriously if it makes any significant difference. Jealous wives and girlfriends are pretty universal - they've been in every one of the many places I've been.

BUT, the way Isolabella does it could work. Obviously you wouldn't want to give your cards to guys you thought were assholes or didn't spend money, that's a given. But if you use a myspace or other free website to post your schedule and such, you could put your url on the cards, and then once the guys visit your page they wouldn't need the card anymore, so it wouldn't matter if they tossed it.

After something that happened last night, I think I might give it a try with cards and a myspace page. I have some cards for my website that I keep in my workbag and in my little work purse, so if girls comment they like something I'm wearing, I'll just give them a card and tell them I sell the stuff online. Anyway, I danced for a guy last night and he asked what else I do. I said I run my website selling stripper clothes and stuff, he got really curious, so I just whipped out a card and showed him. He was impressed, and kept the card saying he'd get rid of it before the wife could find it. He left, and later on (after the home basedball game) he came back in with friends, saw me and called me by name (my website cards have Bridgette on them) to dance for his friends. hehe

You can buy perforated business card paper at any office supply store, and print them up yourself. That's about as cheap and convenient as it gets - you run out of cards, just print up another sheet or two before you go to work.

I got cards printed by this site: http://www.moo.com
I'm really happy with them. A box of 100 is $20, and you can use as many different images as you want (like, you could have a different photo on each card if you felt like it). I used five different photos of myself, so one side has the photo (and my name), and the other side has my club's name, phone number, and website so they can see the schedule and find out when I'm dancing again. The cards are a good quality, they're nice and thick, and they're a really great size (about half the size of a normal business card). I definitely recommend them.

I lovelovelove my business cards. I get a lot of website hits, emails, etc... from handing them out. In the club, out and about, at conventions. I got em from VistaPrint, designed them myself. This reminds me, I need to get more printed.

It looks like you are either really ignorant about how to use your graphics program (because I can still read what you blurred) or you are sort of half-ass blurring the email addy and numbers on purpose to make it look like you are trying not to spam.
Anyway I could do what you did in 5 seconds. I could even give a tutorial on what you did just by looking at it. You might want to find some new fonts that didn't come with Photoshop.

I think it's a good idea if you plan on dancing for awhile. Or if you keep regulars. I only dance every few months or so and can't stand regulars, so I don't bother. But it is a tiny expense compared to the money it could bring you, so I say do it, it can't really hurt.

I hand out photo business cards and postcards.
I can get them printed so very cheap I don’t mind the 100 guys that throw them away, all it takes is one to call for a bachelor party or one guy to join my website and that’s money that pays for the cards many times over.
I pay about $250 bucks for 10,000 full color, dual sided, UV coated Biz cards.

^^Yep, it's good to get ones that are non-glossy so they are easy to write on.

I think if it's legal in your area (ie not considered solicitation) and its not against club rules then go for it. Don't make it look stripperish (as one of the other posters mentioned).

Does anybody know if it's legal to hand out cards in clubs in Las Vegas? I think it's a great idea.

It's cool to hear from girls who use cards. I've given it a lot of thought, but never done it. I almost feel like it's too "business-like" -- maybe it's just the culture of this town, or the club where I work, but a lot of regulars here like to be treated almost like friends. I give out an e-mail address, and many do get in touch to set up future "dates" but I think a business card might blow their fantasy a little. Austin's such a casual town...anyone else think along these lines?
