    Default hairy legs forever?

My leg hairs are very dark and coarse. They also grow super fast.I can shave one day and i will have stubble by the second or third day.If i try to shave again when the hair is still short it really hurts.I get razor burn and million of nicks.it doesnt matter if i use the best new shaver and shaving creme.so im always forced to wait until my legs are super hairy to shave agin.I cant keep doing this forever.summer is coming up and i want to have smooth legs everyday.what can i do to get smooth legs?

    This is from BB:

But if you want something cheap, you may try Nair or Veet or something, you can get that at any drugstore. Just leave it on for a few minutes, and it dissolves the hair, so it takes longer to grow back.
    Good luck!!

well if your legs are irritated or anything you shouldn't use a razor or any chemicals, but if not, yeah, it should be fine.

veet burns and leaves red bumps all over my legs. and it doesn't even remove the hair well! OUCH!

next time it grows out, have it waxed!

I really like my epilator, it's like getting waxed and you can do it as often as you like. If you can stand the pain, I recommend the Braun Silk Epil.

Yes, epilators are good for leg hair. Pop an Advil about 30 minutes before epilating, use some baby powder on the areas, and use a soothing lotion afterwards. Also, DO NOT EPILATE DURING YOUR PERIOD. Your skin is extra sensitive before and during your period.

How long should the hair on my legs be to use an epilator.

only a few mm long depending on the epilator, i think.
Or just wax - it's faster and doesn't hurt TOO much... in fact i think it hurts way less than an epilator because you do so much or space in one go..

^On the other hand, an epilator doesn't take off the top layer of skin.

i used to have this problem-i have to wax!!! if i shave the hair gets really coarse and dark and i get the same rash and stuff.

Try using 'hot' wax (thats what its called in oz, not sure bout the states)-its the hrad wax that they use for brazillians, not runny 'strip wax'. This wax can grip to hair thats only a few mm long, so you don't have to wait for ages for the hair to grow out. its also gentler than regular wax (its got lots of goods oils etc in it) on your skin. it really works for me. You can buy it at the supermarket or pharmacy-recognise it it the tub its rock hard instead of runny. And if your using it all the time the hair eventually becoems lighter and finer too!

Also, if you need time to grow the hair out, try spraying a coat of airbrush makeup (sally hansen airbrush legs is great) this hides the hair sufficently under club lights (assuming no-contact)

Hmmm...if your leg hair is dark and your skin is fairly light, you would be a good candidate for laser.

I don't know, I still prefer epilators to waxing because I can do touch ups at home. There is at home waxing, but I find it too messy.

The pain does get better after the first few times, because the hair follicle starts to weaken and the hairs come in finer.

^^Is it really that great?? You are always raving about it and I'm tempted to try it. Where would you buy that anyway? Do you keep buying a new one or just replace the blades??

If you get an epilator, get Braun and Braun only. Epilady tore up my skin.

I epilate and shave. I epilate to minimize stubble and hopefully retard the hair growth, and shave for smoothness. Since you only need a teeny bit of regrowth to epilate, I can keep myself smoother longer.

I tried the veet on a small patch today and it really irritated my skin.I didnt even overdo it on the time. so deplitories are out! Stupid sensitive skin!
I guess I'll try the epilator because with waxing I'll have to wait for the hair to grow back, which is what i had to do with shaving.

Do you use wax strips with these or does the wax get hard on your skin and you rip the wax off?

Veet or Nair never works on my legs. My hair is too dark and coarse like yours. Unfortunately I have not found a solution except shaving and then putting Cortisone Cream on afterwards...

Yes. Men's shaving store. JUST the blades for the rest of your life! So basically it'll only cost you $1 each time you change your razors instead of these stupid insane amounts because you need 5 stupid blades that don't cut close because MORE BLADES DOESN'T EQUAL A CLOSER SHAVE! *huff huff huff* It actually equals a WORSE and MORE irritating shave because there's too much of a gap between five blades and skin and there's FIVE blades going over your skin which irritates it.

ONE blade is what you need. Yeah, you have to be a tad more careful and the angle is a bit weird to figure out the first time... but after that... woooweee....

I can go 5 days without shaving my PUSSY and nobody will notice.

I also endorse an epilator with shaving touch ups as needed. Although, depending on the type you use, it can take a long time to epilate. Definitely use the advil though!

^ brand? Uh... any brand works. A ton of people made them back in the day. And the blades are replaceable any brand too, since they're all the same.
