    Default Appearance walking INTO work...

Just curious how do you girls look when you walk into work. I know some of you wear makeup, and some don't. What I really wanted to know was are you dressed up (ie. sexy clothes/shoes) or come in comfy (ie. pajama pants/t-shirt)

I know some clubs have a dresscode for walking into work. Does yours?

There's no dress code for us in our club... that I've ever heard of. I try to go in dressed nice but comfy, yanno? Jeans that don't look sloppy but aren't paint on or fancy... nice sandals... etc. If I ever go in sans makeup (which is rare since my make up bag wont fit in my locker), I wear shades until I get into the dressing room lol.... I prefer to be a good advertisement for the club, especially if there are customers in the parking lot. I wanna be a great reason for them to go inside!

When I was dancing my home club really didn't have a dresscode. For the most part girls could walk in looking like they just got off the midnight train to Georgia....
I was a t-shirt and jean girl, with my clean sneakers, and some sunglasses and my jewelry.
I typically don't wear a lot of make-up if any at all, but I had my days where I was trying to be cute and catch someone's attention when I am walking in...

at my old club we had to walk in the back door, so it didn't matter too much and i would wear pajama pants fairly often.

now i usually wears jeans and a t-shirt and flip flops. sometimes i like to wear sundresses though. or skirts. it mostly depends on my mood when i'm leaving the house.

so i guess i often dress casually, but i never like to look sloppy.

I wear whatever my outfit was for the day, generally jeans and a black shirt. And I always have my hair and makeup already done when I walk in.

My club doesn't have any rules regarding that, but we are encouraged to not look like slobs. I always go in with my hair and makeup done and wearing a cute outfit.

I always walk in with my makeup on because you never know what customers will see you walking in. At one club I used to work at there were two entrances but one parking lot so customers would say to me, "oh you're the hot girl that was wearing the pink shirt and white skirt right?" Good advertisement.

ETA: I sometimes wear cute sweatpants and a tank top but my face and hair always look hot coming in.

Before I would just go in wearing anything. Now I have my makeup done because I want to be in the dressing room for as limited amount of time as possible.
God, grant me the senility, to forget the people I never liked anyway,

I always go to work with my makeup on, just like I would dress when I go shopping or to dinner. Ironed jeans or shorts and a blouse, short to regular street heels, or somedays tennis shoes. I'm not a flip flop type of girl and only wear them as shower shoes in the gym. If I wear sweats they are nice ironed sweats and I always wear clean stylish tennis shoes.

Customers do see you coming or leaving work even if you think they don't see you. I imagine it's quite a turn off for guys to see a dancer who has on a sexy outfit, makeup and heels in the club, and then see her arrive or leave work with her hair up, sloppy baggy clothes on, and flip flops.

One time when I was working in Houston on day shift I was coming into work dressed nicely with a short white jean skirt a form fitting yellow cotton blouse, hair down, makeup on and heeled white sandals, and a customer called me to the side before I got to the dressing room, complimented me on my looks, and told me to come see him when I got dressed. He was worth $400, and his friend about $100.

We're in a business where our looks are our selling point. I don't feel we should ever be seen tacky on the grounds where we make our money.

I rock tracksuits. I own about 20 and it's kind of a joke - "What tracksuit is she wearing today?" Usually have my hair but not my make up done.

No rules at any club I've ever worked at, but i always had hair and makeup done walking in. I usually had on something sexy without being obvious..esp when i worked night shift. Several times I had guys say "wow...I was just about to leave, but I'll stay for you" because I looked good walking in!

Tina & cameron_keys have the best advice...

That being said, I'm protective of my privacy and dress down, often with a hat and jacket on...& I try to arrive early so no one sees me.

I don't feel anyone has a right to my life OTC & they need to see me as an entertainer at work, & anonymous outside the club.

If I walk into a club wearing sweats I might as well consider myself fired.

I am to walk in with hair and makeup done, wearing a pair of heels, nice jeans/skirt or something and nice top with accessories ...

Customers notice you walking in.. and how you walk in reflects the image of the club, therefore you really should dress nicely when you walk in.

Some of the features we've had at my club have walked in and you wouldn't even guess they were a dancer. They are just so casually dressed with no makeup and hair in a ponytail. I'm not sure what's up with that. After all these years I still feel somewhat nervous going into a club for the first time, or after I haven't been there in awhile. I always try to look as good as possible the first time I walk in.

I always do my hair/makeup at home and walk in ready to go, with my costume under my regular clothes. I like to spend as little time in the dressing room (aka drama pit) as possible.

I always wear a cute hoodie and sweats outfit with no bra or panties cause I hate having lines on my skin from jeans or whatever.

Since I am walking to/from work to home and/or my accommodation (not to a car near-by) as such I dress for safety and comfort.

It isn't beyond me to get my most awful daggy-iest hole ridden shirt out and wear that to/from work with some nice comfortable pants/jeans. Why? The more I dress down and "poor" the less I am seen and the less I am seen the better for me and my safety.

I've found that if I dress comfortable and "down" then I am safe as there are better people to look at then me and thus the less attention I draw to myself.. the less I am harassed.. and the more safe it is for me to walk to/from work.

If a club I worked in had a dress code for me to abide by to wear to/from work -- see you later!!!

My dressing "down" has worked for me over the many many many years I have been dancing without one incident except minor ones which didn't impair my safety just annoy me... y'know... annoying drunks yelling my direction (so I just pick up my pace and walk faster away from them).

Your first impression is set from the moment you step into the club. Customers see you walking in and they are watching. Countless times i've heard from customers that they saw such and such girl walk into work and she was dressed slummy so they couldnt be bothered to get a dance from her because they know what shes really like.

It makes a huge difference and it also reflects the club. You are portraying an image from the moment you step on the property. I dont know about you but I like to be known as classy, not slummy.

I have never once had a problem with a customer screaming at me leaving the club, and i've worked at more clubs then I can even count right now.

What impression? I'm usually walking into the club when it isn't even open for business to the public (usually a good 30 minutes prior). Even if I do walk into the club when it is open for business, alot of clubs have an alternative (back) entrance for the dancers to use to enter thus they can't see me... so once again what impression?

Even if I have to enter thru the front door and across the main floor to the dressing room.... I do so very quickly and in a way that I don't bring attention to myself (and being short in a room full of giants even if that height is gained thru the heels is a bonus). I know how to hide...

The drunks are not associated with the club ... they are out in the street.. and I said just annoying not a safety issue and not that common of one for me as I don't draw attention to myself.

I just think my safety is more important than anything thus I dress for SAFETY.

ETA: I havn't had the way I dress affect how my night is within the club (the big one is attitude followed by number of patrons) so I don't see the correleation.

I almost always turn up with my make-up and hair done, not that theres anything much to do as far as hairs concerned, lol. On occasion if Im expecting to be running late (shitty public transport) I have even been known to turn up hair and make-up done, and to have my work clothes / bikini on underneath my coat, and dancing shoes on so I can literally run into the club, throw my case backstage, throw my coat off with and jump on stage thus avoiding alate fine. (I dont wear regular stripper heels so no ones going to notice outside of the club :-D

Ive never known a club to have a dress code for turning up to work. Many girls ive worked are totally unrecognisable when they walk in on purpose.
