Default clothes to fit my curves?

so, i'm finally approaching a weight that i'm happy with, and i'm suddently realizing that clothing is NOT made for the curvy girl...i'm abour five foot even, and 115 pounds, 34D or DD depending on the day, 25" waist, and 37" hips and i cannot for the life of me find clothes that aren't huge in the waist on me...the best solution i've been able to come up with has been skirts worn low on my hips, and shirts with some stretch that are TIGHT in the chest and only a little baggy around the waist, but that's not the most flattering look...

not to mention that it's getting harder and harder to find sizes small enough for me, and i'm really sick of the dirty looks from store staff when i ask if they carry a smaller size...

i've had a few pieces custom made or tailored to fit, but i'm really frustrated that i can't just...shop, y'know

    any suggestions?

Are you looking for brand names? I found Hollister to be for the small waist but more curves... also try American Eagle for jeans... their jeans seem to be good for small waist with more hips.. try low rise jeans... we should just take eachother shopping lol... Im in diar need of clothing now that i've lost so much weight ahaha...

i'm pretty indifferent to brand names actually - i like stuff that's unique, different, and sometimes just plain weird

The best solution I can offer is to get skirts and pants taken in at the waist. It's probably not what you wanted to hear, but sometimes it's the only thing you can do.

i don't think we have them in canada, and the last time i was shopping in the us they didn't have anything in either my size, or my style...

i think i'm going to start learning to make my own clothes...

Well... you and I have similar measurements. I too have a very small waist 24.5" and 38" hips. My advice.... look into wrap dresses. Diane Von Furstenberg pretty much invented them. They cinch at the waist and flatter curves. They also stretch to accommodate big boobies.
