Nothing like a furry snatch of doom to brighten your day, lol!

There is a product by Nexxus called Emergencee, it is specifically to stop breakage. It's kinda expensive, try looking in Target. If you use heat appliances on hair, stop immediately. Sally's Beauty Supply may have some cheaper products too, I've used & liked Wella In-Depth treatment, $5.49 for a big ole jar. Good luck

You could henna your hair to stop the breaking (there is clear henna to avoid weird coloration.)
I actually am doing this now.... since the stupid chlorinated water here is making my hair brittle. You also HAVE to condition with a good-quality conditioner or placenta formula.
If it's like straw at the ends you probably need a good trim. That will help matters considerably.
Check out my new eBay auctions.......

get a trim, deep condition once a week (i like bumble and bumble's "deeeep"),
comb or brush your hair starting at the very ends and slowly working your way up, so you don't create bigger tangles.
and don't brush your hair when it's wet. you can comb through it carefully if you have to, but the elasticity of your hair changes when it's wet allowing it to stretch, weaken and break more easily when you brush it.
when my hair was extremely damaged, and it would just break off, my stylist recommended against using Emergencee...it has too much protein, and it can make your hair gummy on top of being strawlike. Emergencee is more for hair that goes through regular damage, like the sun or chlorine.
I sed Bed Head's "Dumb Blond" conditioner, and Redken's Anti-Snap was a miracle worker

Stop anything that could be damaging. Get a small trim. Air dry. Switch to gentler products and shampoo less often. Don't brush it too much.

Yeah, you're right, KK thanks.
I've been looking @ conditioners on losangelesbeautysupply.com. There was one, I can't remember the name, but Nick Arrojo (sp) the hairdresser from "What not to Wear" recommended it for extremely damaged hair. I've heard lots ot good things about Bumble & Bumble.
