"Here’s to the woman in the high heeled shoes. She smokes the men’s cigarettes and drinks all their booze! When she kisses, she kisses so sweet, she makes things stand that have no feet! She has lost her cherry but that’s no sin cause’ she still has the box the cherry came in!"

I dont let customers touch me either. My club prohibits it and so does the law here in Melbourne.
I dont know whether it's unethical as such if a dancer does it. If the club doesnt allow it and its against the law and a dancer did it for instance at my club it would piss me off.
However some states and clubs do allow it. In fact there is a club here in Melbourne (outside of the CBD) that allows touching. If girls at these clubs allow it it doesn't bother me.
I know I could just not psychologically cope with being touched.
No touchie! Git away from mah boday wif dos hanzzzzz.
Yeah, I haven't slept in a while. But touching is bad.
Well... it obviously depends on local norms. Working outside the local standards will obviously make for an uncomfortable work environment for other girls.
I decline, however, to make comment or judgment on "ethics" in regards to this matter.

I mention the ethics in regards to the laws. If the law states touching is not allowed I feel its unethical for a girl to do so or in other words break the law not to mention affect my business.
I am more interested in your personal opinion of being or not being touched by customers...

It's prohibited here in Houston, Tx.
But 99.9% of the girls touch to varying degrees.
If you can Bank a satisfactory amount of $$$ without touching, then just continue your normal ways at work, and more power to you.
Honestly, though, I could not imagine a SC without touching. Even at my Church on Sunday some people hug or shake hands.
And I'm not being sarcastic. I'm not talking about extras, and grinding or deep kissing or anything outrageous or heavy. But a quick hug or peck on the cheek are part of the business.
The totally Nude clubs in Houston have much less touhing than the SCs, but even at the totally nude clubs there is some touching.
Anyway, as I said, if you can make the $$$ you need without touching, and feel more comfortable, then good for you.
I get what you are saying, and I don't know where you work. But I'm sure you realize that there are places where the law and what is normal wildly diverge. Would you, for example, say it is "unethical" for a dancer to dance 4 feet away from a customer when the bylaws dictate that she should be 5? Ethics in this arena are not something I feel particularly comfortable with.
That's not something I can conveniently answer. Analogy - I worked last Thursday (at Cally's club, actually) and spent most of my night talking to a guy at the bar. Now at the time I would have said he was interesting, and it was only when I went on stage, got away from him, found I had a headache that I realized/remembered I was faking. I know that sounds weird, but I can work myself up to "liking" the customers (it adds an air of veracity). Being touched is the same thing. I can work myself up to "liking" it, and only realize when I'm limping home, holding an icepack to my crotch that I didn't actually mean it. (I'm kidding about the icepack).I am more interested in your personal opinion of being or not being touched by customers...
There is also an element of my general mood, and the customer. Like, for some reason, guys with really small, soft hands that are a little sweaty (you know the hands) make me a little nauseous. And - I'm about to break the stripper code here - there are guys that I do like. (Yes, ladies - I will admit it. There are times that I like it).
Also, my week last year in an airdance club - my god, that was hard work. Fucking 10 hours of lapdancing is hard. 10 hours of air dancing - it's a freaking brutality. (Like, does anyone remember Mortal Kombat? At the end, you could just kill the other guy, or do some fancy ending and the game would shriek "FATALITY!" That's the difference between long hours lapdancing and long hours air dancing. The "FATALITY!")

It's not only allowed here..it is expected. Anyone who adopted a hands off policy would not make any money.
I tune it out...unless they are rough or get near the kitty..then I snap to attention right quick!
Although I cna't stand ppl touching me, it's the norm here and I'd go home owing money if I didn't allow it. The amount of touching is discretional to the dancer of course, but if I don't do what every other girl is doing I won't sell many dances.
It sucks but I just deal with it.
At least the touching isn't nearly what it was in Tampa, with guys grabbing onto my boobs like handles on an amusement park ride!

I don't let customers touch me either!
Some Douchebag: "[Pimp C] 12:43 am: its true we got to stick together the black people on SW CK you is teh condoleeza of SW"

Laws have nothing to do with my ethics.

i dont care if guys touch my legs, back, arms.. sometimes my ass, depending on the guy. and yeah, sometimes my boobs, too, again, depending on the guy/situation/vip vs lap dance, whatever. but then i had this guy last week that stopped in the bathroom on the way back to lap dances and left me waiting outside and i could SEE that he didnt wash his hands. totally creeped me out. but then again.. thats what baby wipes/antibacterial gel is for. if i dont think about it, it doesnt bother me. if i SEE that their hands arent clean, theyre not even touching my arm!
I don't allow touching. Except for the VIP room where anything a bathing suit wouldn't cover is okay - no boobs, butt, or puss. Of course, it's very expensive and I get the money up front, so one wrong move, and they're out a lot of moolah and being tossed from the club.
Sex for money? Never! For jewels, and furs, and revenge, like a lady! But not for money!

Here in San Antonio the girls are pretty much vultures and will do just about anything for $$$$ in the club (cheap- ass city...I can't wait to leave!). I heard Houston is way worse, though. It really sucks for us clean dancers here. Personally, I don't mind if the guy touches my hips, my legs, sometimes my ass if they are not rough! Kitty and boobs are OFF LIMITS!!!!...These are my jewels!!! They get pissed, but I don't care and quickly move on.
I don't let guys touch in Phx, not for $10 a song. Vegas I can handle a bit of light touching, but never ever boob/butt/pussy touching.

I work on the Gold Coast currently (my hometown) and it has been 2 way contact for what seems forever. The customer is allowed to touch everywhere except where the GString covers and inner thigh. These are full nude dances (the only type as topless strip clubs are rare in Australia).
It does get to me at times yet I was "raised" as a stripper in such an environment over the course of the first three years in this business (dancing predominately here in my hometown).... so I just got used to it. It is was only when I started working elsewhere in the country where touching was not allowed nor the norm that I realised how de-sensatised I had become to the touching and since I had not been touched in a while.. now had become sensative to being touched by strangers....
I will admit that there are times when working in no touch environments where I wish they were allowed to touch me especially in re massage-ing me.. stroking my arms, back and such. I'm not a big fan of boob touching ultimately yet whatever I'm used to it.
Overall tho' I would much prefer a no touch environment. Psychologically I can work longer hours and more nights in such an environment as being touched by strangers and trying to NOT be fridged (sp?) in my real life is a hard balance to keep if I work more than 2 nights per week in my hometown.
I only work more when I feel I can handle it.
Ethics has nothing to do with anything IMO.

IMO it does deal with ethics if the law says no touching and a girl sneaks about letting customers do so to make more money, again IMO that is unethical because it affects my money (being someone who abides by the law). When I worked in a club with optional nudity I didn't get mad at the girls who went totally nude because it was allowed they weren’t breaking any rules and doing anything sleazy....Ethics - "the branch of philosophy dealing with values relating to human conduct, with respect to the rightness and wrongness of certain actions and to the goodness and badness of the motives and ends of such actions.”
Okay... but without criticizing your viewpoint, you must realize that what you are talking about here is your convenience, not inherent "rightness" or "wrongness". Things can be "right" and affect your money, and "wrong" and not affect your money. Your money is neither here nor there.

Ethics are a matter of opinion.... like I said IMO... opinion!!! OPINION! agree or disagree thats all....
Yes... but the construction of ethics is usually based around something a little more substantial than "I get more money this way." And that is not really a matter of opinion.
When you think about it, I'd get a lot more money by giving the occasional (or not so occasional!) judicious (or not judicious!) blowjob in the club. I don't know that I can legitimately declare it highly ethical because of that.

I dont know.. my home club is where touching is expected... depending on the customer I will allow some contact(everywhere but pussy)... but other then that...well im dubbed the 'Airdance Queen' on a local review board lol..
When I work anywhere else in the country its hands off and about 6 inches to a foot between me and the customer.

Yeah, it all depends on the rules of the club I am at. If touching is the norm, then I put up with it (minus boobs and kitty), but if I'm booked in an airdance club, I abide by the rules. It has nothing to do with my ethics, it has to do with the club I'm at.
Actually if you take a law class business ethics are not much more than just that.
"Business ethics is a form of the art of applied ethics that examines ethical rules and principles within a commercial context, the various moral or ethical problems that can arise in a business setting, and any special duties or obligations that apply to persons who are engaged in commerce."
Again in my opinion breaking the law to have to upper hand and make more dough is unethical on a business level to me.
