yikes! that blows. i think they should do something for him, even if he'd have gotten no different diagnosis if re-seen by someone else. telling someone that they are going to die is damn unfair on so many levels. so really, i am in agreement that he should get something for it. i mean, he did enjoy life more but he got screwed financially.

He lives in Great Britain. With the Socialized medicine there can he get a second opinion? Or only what the State will offer? If the Second opinion had shown the negative would the State pay for a fresh diagnosis? How accountable to the People are the Doctors under this system? At age 62 is he one of the writeoffs? Since he is close or retired already and there is not much more taxable incme from him in the future.
