Default modern(ish) music for burlesque dancing

i loved the other thread, but i just joined a "neo-burlesque" troupe. i need more punk rockish music that has a burlesque beat if that makes any sense.

    so far i have:

    the groupies - primitive
    iggy pop - the passenger

...and im going through all the files on my computer looking for others.
i would love any suggestions you have for me.

Check out "Like A Bad Girl Should" by The Cramps. I'm MC'ing a burlesque show and I'm trying to talk MrsChristopher into using that song.
waffles are just pancakes with little squares on them.

If you're open to 60s garage and pop, indie, rockabilly, and psychobilly,- you'll find some stuff right along those lines there. Some will be very hot jazz inspired, some more go-go dance like, some bluesy, some sexy and exotic, some just have the right pace and could make an interesting stage show. If you have imagination these might work....

    60s rock and pop:

Jacqueline Taieb 'la fac de lettes' + 'sept heur du matin'
    the Troggs 'wild thing'
1910 Fruitgum Company 'Indian giver' (orig. version)
    Electric Prunes 'little Olive'
    Episode 6 'love, hate, revenge'
France Gall 'laisse tomber les filles' (aka chick habit - orig. version)
    the Shandels 'Mary Mary'
the Shocking Blue 'love buzz' (orig. version)
    Christine Pilzer 'cafe creme'
Jocelyne 'la la la la la'
the Love Sculpture 'shake your hips'
Q 65 'get out of my life, woman'
? and the Mysterians '96 tears'
    Blues Magoos 'I'll go crazy'
Shadows of Knight 'dark side' + 'bad little woman'
    the Downliners Sect 'little Egypt'
    the Litter 'action woman'
the Seeds 'I can't seem to make you mine'
    the Outsiders 'thats your problom'
the Sonics 'have love, will travel'
the Velvet Underground 'run, run, run'

    Rockabilly/Psychobilly:

    Wanda Jackson 'funnel of love'
    3 Bad Jacks 'love hurts'
    HorrorPops 'psycho bitches outta hell'
Johnny Kidd and the Pirates 'please don't touch' - or the Matchbox version
    the Vibes 'losing my mind'
    Janis Martin 'bang bang'
    the Stingrays 'drive in movie'
the Johnson Family 'be my rose'
    the Escalators 'video club'
    Tall Boys 'final kick'
    the Polcats 'Marie Celeste'
    Restless 'ice cold'
the Blue Cats 'casting my spell'

    Indie and Punk:

the Raveonettes 'attack of the ghost riders' + 'the truth about Johnny' + 'love can destroy everything' shit...... half the songs they've done!
Dandy Warhols 'you were the last high'
    Felt 'Penelope Tree'
Louis XIV 'paper doll' + 'illegal tender'
Magazine 'the great beautician in the sky'
    Wire 'fly in the ointment'
the Shop Assistants 'all day long'
    Mazzy Star 'ghost highway'
the Smiths 'how soon is now?'
    Black Rebel Motorcycle Club 'stop'
the Jesus and Mary Chain 'sugar ray'

I could go on and on. Just start downloading! Also see: my response to the 'I need punk' thread.
