    Default Evening Out Tan Lines

So, I've been doing a lot of gardening lately, and in spite of SPF 60, I've developed some really noticeably bronze arms and shoulders. I'd love to even them out without them getting any darker, so I'm wondering if I can start tanning and just use massive amounts of sunscreen on the parts that are already tan. Does that work? Anyone know or have any better ideas?

Getting airbrushed or doing mistic with do the trick. A really good sunless tanner that is DIY would work too, just make sure it is a dark one.
I think this will work b/c the solutions make my skin tan, but a slightly different tan. It will ive your old color a new color and the rest of your body too will have that new color. I live in Tucson, so I have that issue as well. Fake tanner seems to do the trick.

Also, I have started using the coppertone spray in the blue can/bottle. It really blocks!

Definitely fake tanner. I think the sprays do a better job than the lotions though when it comes to this.

I had some major tan lines recently on my shoulders from lawn mowing and my Neutrogena Mist did the trick in two applications.

So, if I did the neutrogena thing, how often would I have to redo it? I thought fake tanner required kinda constant maintanence...

using fake tanner everywhere will help to even things out. i like the coppertone endless summer lotion that comes w 2 seperate lotions that mix together.

also, you could try where a very light weight long sleeved shirt. linen is nice and cool even in hot weather. and white will help to relfect the sun. still use sunscreen though, as the fabric won't fully block the sun.

I'm going to try it. I've used the Coppertone lotion stuff before, and noticed that as it fades, it becomes really uneven and a bit scary. I'm going to try the mist... hopefully, it won't be too hard. Thanks for everyone's replies...

yeah, i have the strange fading problem sometimes to. i've noticed that exfoliating very well before appyling and then keeping my skin moisturized makes a big difference. it also seem to be worse when i use several different fake tanners at once. well, not in the same minute, but over a day or two.
