Default portland...i quit at the dolphin!

So I finally quit at the Dolphin 1. I realized I've been there too long, I'm tired of the customers and especially tired of the large numbers of insane minors that seem to work every single night! Also the fact that everyone there has their hand out for a tip for doing nothing.
So tomorrow I am going to Devils Point, Hawthorne Strip, Sassys and Exotica to audition.
Does anyone know what the house fees are for Devils Point and Exotica? All the info I found searching was pretty old and I'm not sure its correct.
And also, if anyone works at one of these clubs, say hi to me! I am thinking of changing my stage name but if you see a girl with a constellation tattooed on her back, that would be me.

9you should change your name to constellation! that would be unique and memorable.

there are tons of portland ladies on here, so I'm sure they'll answer more aout this, but good luck!

Hey! Did you dance as Roxy at the Dolphin!? I just realized that may have been you ...I'm Holland and only danced out there a few mondays. It definately did suck, and I don't think I'm going back. I dance at Exotica Wednesdays and Fridays til 7 and I love it. Anyway, even if you aren't who I think you are, maybe I'll see you today and say hi. BTW I knew a girl named Stara - I like that name.

Yep, that is me! That'd be like the third time I've worked with a SW'er and not figured out who they were until waaay later.
I actually am going to Exotica as the last stop on my little tour because I figured they might let me work a shift after auditioning. I will let you know how it goes and maybe we will work together again!
Yeah...it just seemed like the right time to quit at Dolphin. Money was stolen from me, a DJ tried to trick me into having to tip-out twice, and there are some very iffy girls working there now. It used to be great, its too bad the place went downhill.

Oh, I used to love the Dolphin... at least until a damn junkie lied to Prince and got me fired... And yes, the tipout was ridiculous. i hated having to justify tipping JUST $10 when I'd make $90. A lot of the bouncers don't even count the damn dances.

I enjoy working at Exotica for the most part. Though I've heard a couple good things about the Cabarets from ladies, too.

Devil's Point is FUN to work at, but the money can be iffy though the stage money is great, dances are not common (though I've seen a couple of amazing hustlers there!)

I'm at DP. I won't be there tomorrow, but good luck. Not to dissuade you, but it's hard to get night there unless you've been there a while. Most girls only tip out 5 to the bartender on day shift, then for night shift it's supposed to be 10% to door guy, dj and bartender. There is no stage fee-the place is just way too small. Good luck! Message me with any questions.

P.S. Checked the schedule--the girls working tomorrow are rad. They can tell you more about the place.

So here is the rundown on Roxy's strip club tour:

Sassys--Got hired! Loved the place, the girls seemed nice, I think I will really like working there. the pole scared the crap out of me. I did a simple spin and ended up spending almost a minute trying to figure out how to stop the thing.
Exotica--Drove the hella long drive, saw Holiday and chatted for a bit, then they told me to come back tomorrow. Um...ok. The manager didnt even come out of her office. The club seems really nice though. I cant go in tomorrow but I am going to call. I was peeved at having driven out there and not allowed to audition.
Hawthorne Strip--Walked in, walked out. nuff said.
Devils Point--auditioned, filled out an application (?), sat there, hung out with the DJ and got drunk thanks to the bartender who poured me several vodka tonics for the price of one. I so want to work there. Its like five blocks from my house and the people were really cool. So hearts, want to put in a good word for me? I actually dont care if I work nights or days for right now, I know it takes awhile to establish oneself at some clubs. the pole is so short though! i love doing pole tricks but i could barely invert on that pole.
Anyway, I am worried about money issues since I didnt find a place I could work a shift at that day (thanks Exotica). But I am really hoping to get shifts at Sassy and DP.
I am thinking about going to Dolphin 2 one day a week. Its just almost an hour drive for me and with gas prices I am not too excited about that. I guess I have to wait and see what happens with the clubs I went to today.

Have you scheduled at Sassy's? It sounds like that place could work out, and maybe Devils Point too. That is a great club, the bartender (Marla or something like that...) is so sweet.

That was retarded that they didn't let you audition at Exotica. I really don't like the daytime manager. She's fine, but just so absent, I mean she never says a word to anyone and I don't know what she does all day. The only thing I can think of is usually the regular DJ auditions girls and he was gone when you came by.

Anyway I hope everything works out awesome and you find the perfect spot to work.

I think I may have quit the DII by default, having worked there five days in the past two months (granted, I was out of town for most of that time). I mostly was getting bored with it and highly annoyed by the weekend party crowd. I don't know WTF is up. Anyhow, I will be out of town most of the summer and make enough from that and then parties and Mary's when I'm in town to not hassle with it, but in the fall I would like to find another home club. I am considering the Viewpoint maybe.

anyhow, you're not alone. Sigh. They were good clubs! I hate it when this happens. Have fun at your new spots.

Well, Exotica is just annoying me to no end. I tried calling them today and the manager was a huge bitch, told me I could audition at 5 and "maybe" work. Well, I cant do "maybe" right now since I have a house payment due so tonight I am scheduled at the Dolphin 2. I have never worked there before but I know a lot of girls from Dolphin 1 have switched over there and liked it much better.
I am going to be scheduled at Sassys, I wrote down the days I could work and the manager said she calls everyone on Sunday to give them their schedule. I have not heard back from Devils Point but I will probably call them within the week. I really only need to pick up about three dancing shifts a week since I bartend twice a week. I dont know if I will just dance one place or switch it up.
I have a lot of reviews to write! Too bad clubs and reviews section doesnt work.

No! You were the coolest chick there! Now who's going to read New Yorker in the dressing room? I know what you mean though, I've worked there 4 times in the last six weeks myself.

I agree that the Dolphin II has been getting progressively worse. The crowd keeps getting younger, and the middle aged and older guys keep getting cheaper - they are all used to new, inexperienced dancers spending forever talking at the table and drinking without asking for dances, and I've noticed many more guys acting baffled when you hustle them.

If you can't sell dances at the D2 (and it used to be easy), you can't make money. You aren't on stage enough, and it's stressful.. and not worth the gas money anymore, for me. I'll be focusing on my new gig at Mary's and hopefully Club Cabos within the next few weeks.

Just got back from D2...I am quite happy with what I made but I am going to have to try it a few more times obviously because it could have been a "new girl" thing.
First off, the club is gorgeous! I love the way it is set up and it actually looks like a gentlemens club. There were a lot of girls, and a really young crowd, just like everyone said. I kind of like the fact that I dont know anyone there...it made it way easier to stay out of the dressing room and my hustle was better than usual. I realized my problem with D1 was the fact that I was too "involved" (being friends with girls, knowing the staff really well, all the customers knew me). A change of scenery was very nice.
Any D2 girls have any advice on selling VIPs there? I didnt know what to charge so I didnt ask anyone, I also didnt see any other girls go back there though.

Girls are charging from $200-$250 for half hours and $400-$500 for hours -- that includes the club's cut which is $50 hh and $100 hour. They can be sold to two types of custys: regulars and out-of-towners. Work on the latter. Too fucking bad the business has been so shitty after they finally opened it up.

Yeah, I would not recommend to anyone (since stevie already knows this now) trying to audition at exotica during the day (before 6 maybe) just because it's run primarily by the day manager who is definitely umm... businesslike yet inefficient? The nighttime manager, and the assistant managers, are all great guys and will actually register and appreciate talent.

Well, I'm auditioning at Mary's on Monday. Wish me luck everyone!

Has the Dolphin really been that bad? I haven't been in a while, but I was planning on going in tonight...then said fuck it. I think I have the "not stripped in 3 weeks" jitters or something.
