Inland North? WTF?
http://www.gotoquiz.com/what_american_accent_do_you_have

I got:
The Northeast
"Judging by how you talk you are probably from North Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak."
And since you've spoken to me in person, you can attest to the fact that I pretty much do have a NY accent, lol!
BTW, what in the world is Inland North???

[What American accent do you have?Your Result: The Inland North
You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."]
haha I'm so funkin proper lol

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: Boston
You definitely have a Boston accent, even if you think you don't. Of course, that doesn't mean you are from the Boston area, you may also be from New Hampshire or Maine.
haha, and I'm from Texas. But I'm told the only Texas twang I've got is saying 'yall' or that I'm 'fixing' to do something.. just lexicon I guess..![]()
Aww gosh darn I knew I was American eh!

Pfft. If they had asked me how I pronounce "dog" and "coffee", they'd have changed their answer. I blame my speaking classes in college.
And eff no I don't say "pop" unless I'm talking about what I wanna do to bubble wrap.

Ok-WTF? I was born in Pennsylvania, grew up in Houston and lived in Seattle for 5 years-but this????? *Confused*![]()
North Central
"North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot.
"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

100% Southern!!
Very cool quiz!

I got almost all West, which is totally true. I lived in Tuscon for a bit when I was two, but otherwise I've never left Oregon. I also got a little bit of North Central, but that's normal cause its where my parents are from.
"Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta."
^ That's what it said.

I was raised in MD/DC/VA... And I hear accents from what they consider to be midland and they dont sound like the way I talk.... Interesting. I took a quiz like this but it had many more questions and got a fairly more accurate answer. Wish I could find it.

Edit: tried a copy and paste, but it says I'm from Philadelphia. Close, but I grew up closer to New York than I did Philadelphia.

Well he says everyone has an accent...
To most Americans, an accent is something that only other people have, those other people usually being in New York, Boston, and the South. And of those other people, half of the ones you meet will swear they "don't have an accent."
Well, strictly speaking, the only way to not have an accent is to not speak. If you're from anywhere in the USA you have an accent (which may or may not be the accent of the place you're from). Go through this short quiz and you'll find out just which accent that is.

Well eveyone has an accent accept me! lol

^^ I got "North central" too. But for real when i talk everyone asks me if I'm Russian. (Close, but no!) But I've been here for ages and ages, and I swear I don't sound that different from anyone else...except when i'm drunk.![]()
i got the midland....i kind of got freaked out a little bit because i am from midland (the city in texas)
and then i read into it a little bit further and realised that this little quiz really didnt know your exact location by how you speak lol.....
i was seriously freaking out![]()
I got Northeast. Both my parents are from New York, but I was born and raised in Texas. I can say though that I rarely say "Ya'll" or "Fix'n" unless I'm drunk, and then I do sound very southern.
