I just looked at the calendar and realized I haven't danced in 17 days. I find that really strange because the last four times I worked, I had a great consistent customer come see me each night. This guy was there every night and spent almost the entire night getting dances. To add to that, I think his attention attracted the attention of others (because I was unavailable to them) and every time someone else asked for a dance, he waved me off and said "You have a customer!" He didn't expect me to spend all night with him. After two weekends of this, I had more money that I usually do and decided to take a trip. I'm not trying to brag or something about having a regular, but this whole thing was pretty sweet and not really what I'm used to. I try to work as hard as possible and I've had regulars, but never that consistent (came in four nights in two weeks and spent the amount he did). I wonder if just taking off wasn't a smart move, and I should have milked him as much as possible. It's been two weekends now since those weekends he showed up. I wonder if he came back and found another dancing partner or I can just go in this week on those two nights and maybe he will actually be there. (He's an engineer from Asia who I don't imagine has many weekend social activities. He doesn't drink alcohol.) I know I'm overanalyzing this, but I'm just kicking myself for not getting his email or something. Here's to hoping the regular comes around again.
