    Theiving Strippers...Et U?

Something I've always wondered, why do strippers steal? I've had bad experiences here and there, but not consistently of girls borrowing garters, shoes, outfits, make up, etc and never giving them back even after I call them on it. Or new girls who come in and steal everyone's odds and ends, then disappear. What's a girl going to do with someone's tube sock or sweat pants? *things most commonly stolen during amateur night*

You'd think they'd steal something a bit more useful like shoes or a purse or something, LOL. I just don't think it makes sense, like some sort of paradox. Strippers who steal? But why?

Uh, When I got home from work there was one leg warmer thing in my bag... I have no idea how it got there. I sure as hell didn't pick it up. Maybe someone dropped it in by accident. So, your thread inspired me to bring it back to the club when I go on friday and leave it in the dressing room instead of just tossing it in the trash like I was going to. Hey, someone will get their sock back

There's always someone who wants somethting for nothing. They'd steal a chewed piece of gum if they thought it might have value. It's sad but they'll even steal your underwear if they like 'em. Yeah. Gross.

Some people are just Klepto's .....A person with this disorder is compelled to steal things, generally things of little or no value, such as pens, paper clips, small toys, or packets of sugar or hey why not tube socks and sweat pants :-P

the housemom warned me to change my lock because one of the staff members saw two dancers attempt to break into my locker to steal cash (which wasn't there).

I think more often than not**, people misplace things. Stuff can get kicked under a locker or tossed in someone's bag on accident. If you drop something and leave it over night, the cleaning crew might toss it on top of the lockers, in the supply closet, the trash or even take it themselves.

The most common items "stolen" at my club are curling irons and flat irons. They get left on the counter, they all look alike and at the end of the night the house mom wraps them all up and tosses them in drawers. They get lost in the shuffle or picked up by someone mistaking it for thier own. I put my name on mine and keep it in my locker when I'm not using it, problem solved.

Occasionaly something really is stolen, but I don't think its rampant at most reputable clubs. If there is a thief, its usually just one and they tend to have traits that get them fired double quick anyway. And you can prevent having things stolen from you by locking up your stuff and not leaving things out when you're not using them. Don't be one of the girls that makes a "stripper pile" in front of their locker and wonders what happened to their socks at the end of the night.

**I can only speak from my experience. Judging by some stories I've read on here, some clubs are full of crazy people. In that case I wouldn't be suprised if they tried to steal your panties while you were wearing them.

I've had MY WHOLE BAG stolen from my friend's car outside the bar we used to frequent after work. And I know it was a planned thing. Right before Xmas too.

Luckily, my fellow dancers all chipped in a costume each, and my costume lady gave me a major deal on some new ones.

Another time some junkie whore stole a dress from me (cut my lock) and wore it on stage in front of me!!!!!!! Can you believe the nerve?

It took me all of 5 seconds to drag her ass off the stage by her hair. Mgmt. searched her whole bag in front of me for other stuff she might have stolen and ordered her to give me my dress back. She was then fired without pay.

Ugh...nothing makes you feel so violated. I spent a lot of time and money on my costumes. Ok, I could go on and on, but I won't.

    You get the picture.

It just confuses what creates such desperation, I know there are some who like the thrills and chills of it...But it still seems really retarded to do it at work. LOL...

I hear all of ya's! I just don't get it myself. I think that it's just plain human GREED. As far as many strippers, well, money can do fucked up things to a lot of people. After the cash starts flowing, they just get hungrier and hungrier...and what they have just never seems to be enough after a while... they want more and more and more. So they become manic, money- hungry, materialistic, conniving, heartless- thieving bitches. I think it's sad.

One of my good friends had her sandles stolen. They were white with the brown leather bottom. And let me just say that these shoes were 2 years old...... I mean they had her footprints in them! I can't even imagine why you'd want them. Now, if I leave money out, I expect that to be gone, but 2 year old sandals?
