so i finally got a day free from my other job and went to do my first shift. i picked day shift because i am still pretty wobbly on my heels, don't really know quite how to lapdance yet, and i wanted to learn at a slower pace.
well, i definitely was in a good mood, felt sexy and i was excited about finally getting started since i've been wanting to for a while. however, on an 8 hour shift, i ended up only making 26 dollars after tipout (10 to DJ).![]()
it was REALLY slow. maybe it was the weather since it was kind of ominous outside, but there were two points in the afternoon where there was NOBODY at all in the house. i only gave one lapdance and the rest was all stage tips. i tried really hard at being cutesy and to hustle, but i definitely dont know what i'm doing yet. i found it a little awkward to lead into asking for a dance, but hey, at least i asked everyone! i did sit with a few customers too long but there was NO one else to bother and i was hoping maybe the constant sexycute infusion would win them over. alas, it seems no cover charge and free alcohol brings in deadbeats.
however my first lapdance was a dream. a very southern-suburban couple came in shortly after i arrived on the floor, well groomed and attractive. they spent a song telling me how lovely i was and chatting about their daughter. they asked me if i was new, said yes, and they said JACKPOT! danced for the woman (who was very pretty and so sweet) and the man got one simultaneously from another girl. i did a pretty terrible job i think, i was so nervous and didnt know how much she wanted to be touched. i made lots of eye contact though and eventually got to caressing her arms and hair while i danced. before i knew it the song was over and i sat down so they could tell me how pretty i was and then i was called to the stage. the DJ played me an AMAZING first set and i got tipped 2 more dollars by the wife.
also i just had a good time being up on stage dancing. it was kind of liberating and i got a lot of whistles and applause even though i didnt do much but swivel and shake it! i think i will shift to night as soon as i can - i was really wobbly during the last sets from discomfort in my feet, but it was really unbearably slow, and i'm a little sad i only sold one dance.
anyways, my questions:
1) "i want to see your stage show first" - i figured this was equivalent to a test drive but NOBODY followed up or even tipped me on stage. common or fluke?
2) i had a hard time executing some of my normal dance moves. they're very snakey and i usually rock around on my flat feet. is almost all kinds of dancing possible in these things? is it just balance? i don't have a ton!
3) i found it really hard to give a lapdance in those armchairs. there werent a lot of dances for me to observe and the ones i did see.. i dont want to imitate those. i felt like i was gonna topple over trying to keep one foot on the floor! (also i dont remember what the girls did in all the lapdances i've bought because i get distracted!!)
4) i wore a pair of checkerboard panties in a bikini cut and was approached by a dancer who relayed to me, "you know, they make thongs for dancers. you don't have to wear panties. everyone is asking me why you're wearing them." she gave me a coupon for a free thong (lol) but i really didnt see what was so wrong with them. i understand everyone wants to look at ass but do we all have to be the same? i got a lot of compliments on my lovely posterior.
also i would love some constructive criticism if you can glean any from the sheer context of my rambly post. i'm hoping a lot of things will become clearer to me in time. i'd just like to embarass myself as little as possible along the way!
