Is this a seasonal thing? Do any of you veterans see a pattern during the year? There are so many girls at my club for how (not)busy it is right now. I wish the club would schedule, but I guess that is asking too much of SC management.

idk, right now my club is lacking girls it seems.. the other night, they were trying to get some girls from one of our sister clubs to come dance at our club, but when they called, they found out there were barely any girls over there!! we're having a stripper shortage!!

seasonal stripper drift.
it gets slow, girls think 'maybe its only my club,' and try somewhere new, but in the end girls just get redistributed all over the slow clubs.
Go in earlier, that is the answer to this problem. I work a 6-2 shift and make almost all of my money by 10:00. Then when the massive amounts of girls start showing up I have already made what I need and anything more is just the cherry on top.
It was ludicrous at my club last night though, they ran five stages even though there wasn't a crowd to support it. Even the customers were asking why girls were dancing in the back with no one there. It kinda sucked, but that is their answer to too many girls.
Check out my new eBay auctions.......
I agree with andy about going in at 6 i do the same thing.
Yeah, my club has been like this for a few weeks. At first I thought it was the usual end-of-the-month rent rush, but it's the second week of May now. Tons of girls I've never seen before, too. I'm thinking about switching to afternoon/evening shifts for a while, cause the late nights are ridiculous...two or three dancers for every customer it seems like.
What's messed up is there are tons of girls ALL the time. I went in at 11 in the morning last week and there were over 10 girls. The amount of customers in my club at that time usually supports about 4 or 5. It also doesn't help matters that we're having a heat wave out here - 75 degrees woo-hoo! - so it's just generally slow.

It's not seasonal. Most major cities have more dancers entering the market looking for the big money of yesteryear, and this business is facing a customer decline. Clubs are letting as many girls get hired and work as want to in order for their house fees to compensate for the shortage of business.
In smaller markets like Amarillo, clubs seem to be more sensitive to having the proper balance of dancers to customers. That is why I no longer dance in big cities anymore.
Thinking the swing shift is the way to go for this time of year. We get SWARMED with girls at night, and day shift, well, I can't compete with what they normally sell during a day shift :x

The decline is attirbuted to stepped up DUI enforcement, no more strip club entertaining on expense accounts, clubs becoming much more expensive, guys realizing that they can get sex instead of spending money on dances, clubs becoming boring, guys falling in love with their favorite dancers and realizing after wasting (in their minds) thousands of dollars, that a relationship will never happen.
I am sure more items can be added to the list, but that is what I can think of now.

oh my god!!! I thought it was just my town!! how do we fix it?!?!?

Well I'm seriously thinking about driving over. I'm looking for SOMEWHERE to go to work soon, I'm way burnt on the Phx scene. I haven't worked in a week because I just don't want to deal with it. At least in a new scene I'll take my ass to work!
So, is business decent right now?? If you're that short on girls, are the customers there, and are the girls making money?
I work in Ama, and we are def not short on girls where I work, and it has been slower than usual the summer sux here It 's weird somedays we'll have like 29 girls, and other days have 8, it is really strange

you can also throw in rising gasoline / energy prices, rising property / income / sales taxes, rising monthly ARM payments, rising credit card interest rates, rising food prices, i.e. significant increases in the cost of 'necessary' expenditures that subtract from the amount of money customers have available for 'discretionary' expenditures - like lap dances ! While you are absolutely correct that many clubs are now giving customers who do have money to spend a reason not to spend as much, it's just as much of a factor in many clubs that the customers simply don't have as much 'discretionary' money available to spend as they used to.The decline is attirbuted to stepped up DUI enforcement, no more strip club entertaining on expense accounts, clubs becoming much more expensive, guys realizing that they can get sex instead of spending money on dances, clubs becoming boring, guys falling in love with their favorite dancers and realizing after wasting (in their minds) thousands of dollars, that a relationship will never happen.
in the short / medium term, this can't be 'fixed'. I don't want to inject politics into this forum, but two key issues that go to the heart of this problem are federal / state / local gov't spending levels and the associated levels of taxation necessary to pay for that spending, or gov't borrowing to pay for that spending which drives down the exchange rate of the US dollar (thus making any 'world commodity' like gasoline and food more expensive in US dollar terms) and on interest rates for US dollar denominated debt (thus raising ARM mortgage, car loan, credit card payments etc). At the moment, we have increased borrowing thus devaluation of the US dollar plus rising US dollar interest rates at the federal level , combined with rising state and local tax rates 'stealing' more dollars out of customers' pockets at the local level.oh my god!!! I thought it was just my town!! how do we fix it?!?!?
Well, to be objective (albeit painful), this problem CAN be fixed ... for some dancers. The 'fix' comes in the form of new local ordinances which force the closure of some clubs and which attempt to force the end of 'extras'. This has the effect of leaving a few upscale clubs in business that operate legally, and also leaving a few 'extras' clubs in business that operate illegally. The 'middle of the road' clubs wind up being driven out of business, causing all of the customers in that city to be concentrated into the upscale clubs or the 'extras' clubs that are still open. As a result, for those girls who are able to be hired in the upscale clubs, a larger pool of customer dollars will become available. Similarly, for those girls who are comfortable working in 'extras' clubs, customers will be willing to spend lots of dollars provided that they receive the 'extras' they go to those clubs expecting to find. However, for a large number of girls who don't 'measure up' to the hiring standards of the upscale clubs, and who are not comfortable working in 'extras' clubs, the future will be bleak !
Yes and this amounts to a 'triple whammy' against dancers. If you go back to basics of club economics,It's not seasonal. Most major cities have more dancers entering the market looking for the big money of yesteryear, and this business is facing a customer decline. Clubs are letting as many girls get hired and work as want to in order for their house fees to compensate for the shortage of business.
A. there are now fewer dollars walking into the club every night. This can take the form of fewer customers, or the same number of customers but with fewer dollars in their pockets, or both.
B. some dancers try to compensate for their loss of 'hourly' income level by working more hours in the club in an attempt to still earn the same amount of dollars at the end of the week. However, this immediately translates into more girls being present in the club at any given time of the day or night. Thus even if the same number of customers still come into the club, the dollars they bring in must now be 'split' into smaller pieces i.e. the same number of dollars are now shared among a greater number of dancers, meaning less money for each.
C. when dancers wind up working more shifts / days in order to try and arrive at the same amount of dollars earned at the end of the week, their 'club tax' goes up accordingly i.e. more nightly stage fees, more nightly tipouts. Thus even if the same number of customers are coming into the club as before, club management now winds up with a higher percentage of the money coming from customers' pockets, while dancers wind up with a lower percentage.
The addition of more girls entering the dancing business seeking a cure to their financial distress stemming from former 'straight' jobs, and the decision by some girls to offer 'extras' in order to convince customers to part with a bigger lump of the 'discretionary' money that they do have available, only compound the problem.

The last time we spent the night in Amarillo at the club we hit the dances were few and far between. I don't think we saw more than 2-3 dances being done in almost an hour of being in the club at 10 on a Tuesday night.
Bridgette, FYI a co-worker who danced with me in Montana, and who bought some outfits, called me a few months back saying the girls want someone who is well stocked with outfits to come through. She was wearing the outfits we sold her, and the girls were saying they can't find stuff like that in the area. This girl was working at the Polo Club for a short while, and said the manager was cool with coming in.
I know you really don't want to sell in the clubs, but it may be an option to give you a change of pace from the saturated club market in Phoenix. Since we are so well stocked with outfits, we are getting more requests to come to clubs to sell than we can handle.
Just a thought.
God I thought it was just my club that was sucking I was ready to go elsewhere.
Ditto ^ I had that "jump ship to save life" urge. I think I have adjust my scheule, come in when most of the girls don't, something.
Ugh, I hate summer......

Yeah.. if you were seriously thinking about coming here, just FYI: I really think my club's lack of dancer's is because it just re-opened a few weeks ago. We're still trying to re-establish clientele as well. And from what I've heard as the general consensus is that summer is slower here, although I don't know why.
But, when it rains, it pours. A few girls hit the grand club last MONDAY of all days, but then again yesterday (Saturday) was soooo slow, I was literally bored out of my mind. It's hit or miss at my club. I'm considering trying a different one, just in case, I just don't want to leave and then hear stories from the girls that I'm missing out when the ballers come!![]()

I think I'm moving to Austin this summer... any good news from Austin?!?!?
Since its summer we are usually in desperate need of girls Sunday thru Tues. On Mondays we usually have about 4. Its never busy, but we do get guys that come in, and some just leave b/c we only have 3 or 4 girls. It sucks. Weekeends we are swamped and have at least 18. Wed and Thur there is moderate amount of girls. Nobody wants to work on the weekdays anymore. It always gets that way in the summer.
My manager has taken about 10 new girls on in the past week, and she's still looking. Usually they have about 5 or 6 girls on on a Thursday, which is a comfortable amount considering the amount of customers, but this week there's going to be 10. it's a joke.
