    Default Stem cell structure?

My bf is trying for the life of him to find info online detailing the structure of a stem cell for a project. However, we keep finding bullshit like

that doesn't give any solid structural information. Basically, he wants to know exactly why and how embryonic stem cells differ from adult specialized cells.

Does anyone know of any online resources for this??

    Thanks for the help!

There just this I found. Check out the next page of that one too. I hope he likes science.

Dont use wikipedia! Many teachers dont and wont accept that as a reliable source of information. Anyone can go in and edit the information at any time whether it is factual or not.

Bah none of these have actual pictures and descriptions of the makeup of the specific cell. Thanks for the input and I think he'll have to survive without what he was looking for!

You can always google>images then type in "embryonic stem cell(s)" and you might find some things. If you put it in quotes google will find whats inside the quotes in that exact phrase.

    A blastocyst.

    Trophoblast.

    A blastocoel.

As Tiger said, just look up the components of the stem cell and image-Google the terms.

We've found tons of blastocyst pictures. I said he was interested in a graphic specifically detailing the embryonic stem cell itself.

I assume the stem cells are the most basic possible cell, since there have been no sources which show otherwise.
