    Default Japanese hair straightener

I want to straighten my hair. I am completely done with curly hair. I am so tierd of flat irons. I want to choose a straightener that keeps my hair straight in any weather. I believe it is call the Japanese Silk Booster. I recall it was done in Newyork. yet I really do not want to fly to newyork just to straighten my hair.

Do anyone know any places in chicago that have this type of straightener?

Do anyone know of a good straightener?

I am sick of my curly hair. It is to much work!

Why not just get a relaxer?

I think Asha SalonSpa offers japanese technique in hair straightening. Here's their website: http://www.ashasalonspa.com/Defaultflash.aspx

^ A relaxer did absolutely nothing for my curly, coarse hair, except reduced it to horrible frizzy curls instead. Wen I walked out of the salon, I was so excited with my sleek hair...ten minutes in summer humidity, it went right back to a frizzy mess,a nd I could never get it that straight again without an hour with an iron.

I've heard good things about the Japanese straightening, as long as you hav ethe right expectations. If you have very curly, coarse hair like me, you will never have perfectly straight hair right out of the shower. You'll still have to blow it straight, and possibly touch it up with an iron, but believe me, it does reduce the styling time in half.

My friend tried the relaxer too but it didn't work on her very curly hair...

When I was in the Philippines, there's this so-called hair rebonding (same as japanese technique) and I tried it since my hair was curly at that time, the result was really straight. It lasted 6 months.
