    Default Clip-In Hair extensions

I FINALLY got clip-in hair extensions. I love them. I didn't think I could actually ever get a color even close to my highlighted hair color, but I was wrong.

I went with my friend to this hair store (I was her date to prom) to help her get some stuff for her extensions (we were going to glue them in, but my mom and her actually made her own clip-ins sewing wig clips onto the tracks later on in the day). Anyways, I asked the lady behind the counter if she had anything in my color and she brought out 16" perfect colored 60 dollar clip ins.

I bought em' and LOVE them. They make me feel so sexy, and will last for about a year. Now that I know they're really easy to make too, I might just buy hair next time.

I've been wanting to try those for awhile now, but I didn't know how good they would look and if they would stay in while I was dancing. Have you worked in them yet? And also, where did you end up getting them? I thought about trying that place over on Lafayette road or in Lafayette square, but was just curious as to where you found them. Also was the $60 worth enough for your whole head?

Ha! You're talking about the same place I got them, DJ beauty supply I think is the name, by the Indian resturant? Yup, that's the place.

Ask the nice lady all the way in the back, She has short black hair (she's Asian) kind of in a bowl cut, younger looking, fairly medium sized, and ask her if she can find clip ins that will work for your hair color.

They come in a pack of 7pc's, and it works for your whole head...they're awesome. I think it came with one super long track, 1 medium track, 1 smaller track, and then 4 small side tracks. I didn't even need to use 2 of the tracks.

I have clip-ins too, and I love them. They aren't super long, but they make my thin hair look super thick.
I am DYING for real permanent extensions, but I'm so freakin' afraid I'll end up bald or something, from it ripping out my natural hair.

I have extensions my self because my ahir is very thin. I bought mine online they were very good to work with. If you have thin hair thesy do wonders for you. I can't believe the difference. you can email them for information and colors available. they list brown ones on their site, but you can get any color you need.

I even swim with mine in and I've had no problems. I'm gonna say you should be able to flip your head around as much as you like and nothing is going to happen.

    K. I'm definately planning on trying them out after I make some money at work tonight. Just wondered how well they stay in though, but it sounds like I shouldn't have a prob.

I went to a prom, LOTS of head flipping, my friend with finer hair also had hers in and did a lot of head flipping, they didn't budge.

    I love these things.

I absolutely love these! I've had fusion extensions which absolutely destroyed my hair and wish I had worn clip ins instead while my own hair was growing out healthily. I wore clip ins at work for 8 months straight and no one ever even knew. I flip my hair, dance a lot, etc, and never had a problem with them falling out or becoming visible. Highly recommended to all.

Get 18 inch hair if you want mid back length, 22" for waist length.

robinluch - The website that you listed, do they have a walk-in store to try them on and see the colors? They are in PA and so am I.

There is a salon Laurie's hair designs in Throop PA ...near scranton....that can hook you up once you purchase them. She is the one that cut and styled mine. I got 18 inch ones and they were a bit long for me. She doesn't carry stock, but she does work with mynuhair for local customers. I can get you a sample to try if you like.

K, I got clip in's form Sally's. I think I'm hair challenged because I tried to do this, and it really didn't look right. My natural hair is layered, the laongest layer going jsut past my shoulders. But when I put the clip in's in my hair, it looked, just silly.

Can I get some advice on how to put these darn things in?

I have clip-ins that I bought already with the clips in them and those were awsome. Lasted me for well over a year. But recently, I went to Sally's and got some hair there and bought the clips to sew in and it was a PAIN IN THE ASS. After I was finished, I clipped them into my hair and they looked stringy. Like you could see where my real hair ends. I was so dissapointed. I don't know what I did wrong?

^This is my problem too! Exactly, I jsut didn't know how to describe it, but yes, you can see where my real hair ends, and it's doesn't "blend" and the clip-ins looked very thin and stringy. I wasn't too thrilled.

Winter - I got my first set on ebay since I was too lazy to make em myself.

Girls, do not go to Sally to buy hair. It is the cheapest hair at a higher price b/c frankly it's there for white girls who don't know any better. Hit up a beauty supply in the hood. In Phx, go to Grand Mart on 35th ave and Camelback.

^^You can always go to a hood beauty supply and buy more hair, then sew it on top of the Sally hair you already bought. When my clip ins start thinning out (they always do, it's just from styling/washing/etc), I just sew more right on top and it makes them nice and thick and full again.

There is also a beauty supply at Central and Southern that is alright. Make sure you check out the Red Cherry lashes at both of those spots. Best lashes ever and they are only $1.49.

If you wear your hair and the extensions straight, you are gonna have a hard time getting them to blend really well. Curl them with your own hair or use a waver and no one will ever be able to tell.

^^They might not sell them premade, but they do sell the hair on a weft and the clips.

I have really thin hair and this happens to me too. Just tease the hair around where you clip the extension in and it should stop happening. Or something I do that Bridget Bardotte thing and tease the back to give it some oomph to cover the spaces.
