Thumbs up Coppertone Endless Summer Gradual Tan Lotion

Last summer I tried a sunless tanner by L'Oreal; it looked pretty good, but stained a few areas, and I was really put off by the smell. It smelled like hay and somehow it gave me a very strong body odor, so I stopped using it. Now summer's here and I'm tired of blinding everyone with my pasty skin and tan lines, so I got this "Gradual Tan" lotion from Coppertone and tried it today.

Evidently this is a very thin, subtle color that you keep applying every day until you get the color you want. The result is very natural and not orangey. I tried the first application today and I look like I was out in the sun for about half an hour - just a hint of color, not exactly tan. I'm going to keep applying it every day this week and see what a difference it makes by Friday.

I was most pleasantly surprised by the scent - it just smells like lotion. No body odor, no strong grassy smell or chemical reek. Big points in that area.

Anyone else try this stuff? What did you think?

No, but I'm glad you gave your opinion tho. I have about a dozen half-used ST's laying around from the past two seasons. I'm always interested in a new one, esp. that it is a drugstore prod. & not $20.+ like these other damn things. I've seen a few brands out now, with the gradual & 'dial your color'. I have used prev. an old Coppertone ST, I did like the deep color it gave.

Yes, I agree it looks very natural. My sister (who has olive tannable skin) even commented that I was more tan looking than her! I never tan well, so it's nice to have something that can pull off the natural look.

The gradual self tanners don't stink as bad, simply because there is less of the tanning chemical in them, it's diluted by lotion more. I've tried the jergens, which is nice, but it doesn't get me very dark. I mean I have to remember to put it on every day or it doesn't do anything.

As far as regular strength ones, I've been liking Neutrogena's. I've tried the more expensive ones also, but Neutrogena's works just as well for under $10.

I love this stuff, and how it gives a nice tan. And instead of turning orange, I turn pink ! Very natural and not that expensive all things considered.

Hi ladies...long time lurker...first time poster...I have been useing gradual tan for about two years and I love it. I have tried about every brand out there and all of them left me smellin "pretty ripe" (custys no likey, bank book liked less). However, gradual tan gives me incredible color, soft skin and does not make me smell I work in a factory.

I have used Coppertone Endless Summer self-tanner - not the gradual tan but the kind that gives you a tan in about half an hour. I really like it because it gives me a nice color quickly, is easy to apply, blends well and is easy to do spot maintenance for the areas that fade faster. But I haven't been able to find it anywhere the last couple months. Grrr!! Did they discontinue it or what? Boo!!!
