Sad Denver, CO Cheerleaders and Dandy Dan's

Yes, I'm aware that both of these clubs are a bit divey. They are the two clubs that have hired me. I have read all of the previous Denver and CO threads in here, but if anyone knows anything about these two clubs in particular, I would appreciate the info.

Cheerleader's is very close to me, like 10 blocks away. They have no house fee, tipout is 20% total minimum $20. They have a VIP room. They told me they "didn't really go for the gothic look" but that I was hired anyway, but didn't actually tell me I was forboden from doing the gothic look. While that's my look, I can go for a toned-down sparkly/froofy look and pull it off pretty well.

Dandy Dan's is a little further for me (but still just a few miles). Also no house fees, and they pay the dancers an hourly waitress salary in addition. Tipout is minimum $18. They didn't actually audition me; they looked at me in my outfit and shoes, said I was hired and to come back tomorrow. (Oh yeah that just SCREAMS class.%)

I worked at Dandy Dan's for nearly 3 months before I went to Shotgun Willies. You have to wait tables between sets and carry around an annoying tray. They also only have two shifts availible, 11-7 or 7-2. One manager in piticular, can't remember his name but he's the big guy with the ridiculous mullet, is a complete and total douche bag. When you leave at night, all they do is check to see if the parking lot is custie free, then shuffle the girls in one big herd to their cars... in other words, their not too horribly concerned with your security. Some phyco could be accross the street waiting to follow you home but the doorguys would never notice. The place sucks, but you got to get your feet wet somewhere...

Last I heard, Cheerleaders is having a big problem with wannabe gangsters and shootings. Honestly, any low end club you go to will have thugs and poor security for their dancers.

Both clubs you're looking at attract a blue collar Hispanic clientele. They don't dig goth at all. You'll make all your money from stage sets and rarely ever sell table dances which makes it difficult to actually learn how to hustle and develope decent selling skills- diminishing your chances of success if you decide to move to a bigger pond in the future. Walking with over $200 is considered a kick ass night.

If you are planning on working these clubs until you gain the confidence/expeirience to move onto a better club, just keep in mind that most of the dancers you meet will not be good examples of how to maximize your earning potential. Keep reading this site, especially 'Hustle Hut' and, if you haven't already, .

Thanks very much for the info Mia. As you said, you gotta get your feet wet somewhere.

Mostly I'm looking to work these clubs until I lose another 10 or 15 lbs (I lost 10 before I went to audition anywhere). I get attention constantly for being hot on the street, but the truth is I'm a little doughy and have a ginormo ass. That's pretty much what's prevented me from aiming higher, and I want to just go ahead and do it rather than continuing to wait around until I feel like I have a perfect body.

i've been to Cheerleaders a couple times, two or three years ago. Mia, of course, is spot on, although i didn't feel unsafe at all in there. It was definitely blue collar and actually pretty friendly. But I didn't see how the girls made much more than meal-and-rent wages. Not much money moving around.

I ended up going with Cheerleaders, and I think it was the right choice. They actually don't have a VIP room as I had been told that they did, but only a private dance room. However, I think the money potential might be a bit better than it once was. While I did just at $100 (which is the same I made at my corporate drone job with my average 10 hour days, being on call 24/7, and big piles of stress and ulcers), I was so not hustling at all like a bad baby stripper, one of the more experienced dancers with whom I really hit it off did around $300 and didn't seem to think that was an above-average day (she actually kept telling me over and over that "it's not always this slow, really!"), and she also was definitely not the girl who was in the private dance room the most often.

They just remodeled, and I'm told that they are changing the name of the club next month, so maybe things have changed significantly in the last few years, but I couldn't say for sure since I didn't see it before.

Do you think that an inexperienced dancer would have an easy time getting hired there? I have never danced before and I’m looking for a club in Denver that will take me.

Good for you! Sounds like you're doing well so far and as long as your happy and feel safe, that's all that matters. Goos luck!

Yogi, they don't have any problem hiring inexperienced dancers. Myself and another girl who had never danced before started on the same day. They were only hiring for day shift, though, so if you're moving in soon and wanted to do nights, I don't know if you could be hired for nights. Is there any particular reason you're not trying Shotgun first if it's the place that you want to dance? I know I've seen several people on here saying it was the first place they danced (back in older threads); I don't think that most places actually only want experienced dancers, as long as the new girls fit their type.
