I checked out the Viewpoint last night and it seemed pretty cool. I heard somewhere that they have a VIP room there, where you can sell by the hour and 1/2 hour - I can't remember if I read that here or somewhere else. Anyone have any info?

I know a few cabbies, and they tell me they don't like picking up dancers there. Apparently, a lot of bad experiences with drunks/druggies in the past. I've just heard the place has a bad rap, I guess. A VIP room is such a great $ making opportunity though...I didn't know they had one there.

Yeah, they do. I believe it's called the Candlelight Lounge or some such, and you can sell hours and half hours. I've been thinking about checking it out for a while now, but I'm out of town basically until the end of July.
Okay now I remember where I'd heard about it, I read a review on tuscl. I guess the girls have no stage fees, but dances are $25 with $5 to the house.
Susan, that was my first time in there and it was about 8-9 o'clock saturday night. It was sort of an average size crowd for that time, maybe even a little slow, and the girls were all over the map as far as looks go. I only saw one dance being done the entire time and the usual minimal stage tipping.
Next we went to Club 205. I'd also never been there before and the place was seriously wall to wall guys, which made it loud and smoky as hell. There were two bach. parties of 10+ guys each, however the bouncer I talked with said it was always that busy. The girls were making probably no less than $40 a set on all three stages. I'd never seen that before. It sorta made me want to work there, but it might make me go crazy. The girls were all very attractive, but they all looked about 19, tiny, tanned and sort of frenetically dancing around the stage with what seemed like the same exact routine.
I don't know, I'm on my eternal quest for the best Portland club to work at. I want a place as busy as 205, but not as stage oriented. I want a VIP room to sell and a nice lap dance area. And I want to make so much money that I feel guilty about it...

when i went to 205 not all were tiny tanned young etc...
i saw one lady that had to be at least in her 30's. i also saw different styles too...maybe one of us was there on a weird night. but ya, it was packed!
i really liked the vibe there, it seemed fun. if i were a dancer, that'd probably be where i'd go.

I think I'll check out 205 again to get more of a feel - maybe on an off night.
Of course if raises the Rockstar issue. I'll have to call and see what the deal is, if I can only book 205. I don't really have any desire to go dance at DV8 or any of the other clubs they book. No offense to any of the hotties who work at those clubs - I just want a bigger venue.

Holiday-from my understanding, its difficult with rockstar to book only one club. However how it works is Rockstar arranges your FIRST shift with 205, but its up to the CLUB OWNERS whether you come back to work again, sort of like a daylong audition. I did a shift there during the day, and still came away with 100$ in stage tips. The private dances REALLY strictly enforce the no touching rule, and are somewhat of a hard sell(the DJ has to watch the ENTIRE thing, and a lot of custy's seemed to feel put off or threatened by the CONSTANT presence). They have a lot of other policies on the dancing, which are pretty strictly enforced-no touching your breasts or pelvis AT ALL, no smacking your ass, etc. Normally I wouldn't mind that, however they had no policy on the "lay on counter spread eagled in a customers face for a tip" thing. I think thats a lot MORE crass than some of the stuff they insisted not be done. THats just my opinion though.
Lookwise, you'd fit in well there, not all the girls are BLOND, but all of the ones I saw were very well kept, toned, minimal tattoo's, no UNnatural hair colors, etc. Hope it works out well for you! I'm still trying to find my perfect moneymaking spot myself...
I agree with you there. I did notice all the girls were working hard for their stage money. And I hate a club that makes the private dance experience almost unpleasant by too much supervision. I'm not looking to get nasty or anything - but I wouldn't enjoy a dance either with someone standing over me.however they had no policy on the "lay on counter spread eagled in a customers face for a tip" thing. I think thats a lot MORE crass than some of the stuff they insisted not be done. THats just my opinion though.
I don't know, I may try Viewpoint this week or next.
I worked Safari last night - and that place was DEAD! - just to share

Not sure how much you're looking to make... You might try Cabos-we're REALLY short on girls at the moment, but the money usually can be decent(some of my dayshifts there have easily matched what I made at 205, and the management is REALLY nice!) Dayshifts I usually average 80-100$, Night shifts I usually average between 150-200$...Thats with me being a minor, and unable to mingle to REALLY sell private dances and spend time with custy's... So thats mostly in stage tips ALONE...and I know some of the other girls here make a LOT more than i do. No VIP or Champagne rooms(haven't seen a portland club that has those yet! Hmm...)
Safari looked like a nice club, but I couldn't audition because of my age.
Hope you find that perfect moneymaking club! (and share the secret with me! haha)
Thanks sweetie, I may check it out. I didn't work at all today. Just couldn't kick my butt into gear.

awwwwww I know how that feeling goes! Hopefully you'll feel more motivated tomorrow, and will be able to do something productive(don't know if your club uses a schedule or if you can just show up)
Either way, if you come in tomorrow, friday, or saturday during the day, flag me down and say hi!
In the meantime, hope you enjoyed your day off!
I've been curious about Cabos....when are auditions? Should I just drop in at a certain time?

Drop by anytime! Lee is the DJ/entertainment director, he's there until about 8 or so... As far as I know there's no "Set" times for auditions, but if you come before 5 or 6, both lee, and the actual manager are there to watch/make the hiring decision. Scheduling is usually done on a Sunday or a Monday, so it shouldn't take you long to get on the schedule.
Let me know how it goes!
(i swear, i've seen at least two SW girls at Cabos, so it'll be like a great big party if you and holiday come to see the place! Besides-it IS a pretty nice club-even nicer once the stepped up advertising works!)
I've been debating whether to work at all friday and this weekend, cause i figure everyone will be out of town for memorial day, but I may stop by Cabos friday to check it out. I sure could use a change of pace from Exotica.
I'm confused, but the Chewbacca Truffle Shuffle cleared it up. - Emily

We'll see how busy it is tomorrow then-the past few days its been REALLY dead-i forgot about memorial day!
Oh, and as of tomorrow, they're changing its name to "Blush", so we'll see how that works out(need to go add that to the reviews section!) I just spoke with Lee today, and he said that eventually, it WILL be a new number, but for now all of the "Cabos" business cards and adverts will still get you to the right place.
It's been Club Cabos since the 80s, I believe.. customers won't dig the new name. I don't.

I'm not so sure about the new name, myself.
I can see WHY they want to do it, but i'm really hoping it doesn't alienate any of the people who've been coming there for years!
And Blush? I kinda wonder where they got THAT one from... Either way, I can't wait till June when the new Exotic comes out and its listed different, with advertisements... should help i think?
I live very close to Cabos and tried it out one day. It was _extremely_ slow. I think I might have made about 40 dollars. I never went back but perhaps with the renovations there is hope!

It does depend on the day-mostly the money there is the same as most other portland small clubs... Its not as good as, say, 205.... It really depends though. But yeah, with teh confusion over things, it's still working at rebuilding customer base...
What day were you in? Did I see you?
Oh man, it was a while back. Probably in 2006 sometime.
