Default What's a good stretch mark preventing creme?

I want the stuff that mommies use on their tummies to prevent stretch marks form forming. I'm not having a baby... I'm having twins...the hooter kind, not the diaper kind!!!! Starting from a 34B, in just over 2 weeks I'll be a D, or more likely a DD. I don't want the fresh new hooters I've been dreaming of to have any flaws-at least not if I can help it!!! I think I should start lotioning up my hooters now, so that my skin will be nice and supple when surgery day comes.

So what do you recommend? I know there's cocoa butter and shea butter, but which brands are better? Is there another kind of lotion besides cocoa and shea butter? Did any girls with BA's get stretch marks? My doc says its really not that common, but I'm not taking any chances.

Well, stretch marks are caused underneath the skin, so you could apply as much lotion as you want and it won't help. Women who do not get stretch marks are genetically pre-disposed to not get them.

Drink a lot of water...you should be drinking the daily req. Take fish oil supplements and vitamin E. They both get into the skin and make it velvety soft. Other than that, the lotion is nice to keep the outer few layers soft, but it won't prevent stretch marks.

I think you can do things to prepare the skin for stretching which can help reduce the chances of getting stretch marks. I'm prone to them because I have very tight skin so I knew I had to oil my boobs like crazy before my BA. I used a combination of Bio Oil and cocoa butter 2-3 times a day. I've had my boobs for 24 days and I have no stretch marks. A friend of mine whose less prone to them didn't moisturize as much and got them the day of surgery.

My girlfriend just had a baby and got no stretch marks on her belly because she oiled it like crazy. The thing is, she didn't pay as much attention to her thighs so she got some there. She didn't even gain that much weight so it's kinda weird that she got them on her thighs and not her belly - since it grew soo much compared to the rest of her.

Per one of my customers thats a Dr. Vitamin E caps. If trying to prevent he says take them normally, if trying to remove he says break the cap open and rub the gel stuff on your stretch marks. I havent tried it myself but he swears by it and I'd trust his judgment.

I got stretch marks from my BA. I knew I'd probably get them though, as I already had them on my hips/butt from puberty. I used shea butter from www.carolsdaughter.com. They also have a mixture of shea butter and something else *can't remember offhand* that was called the mommy's miracle or something like that. It's creamier than pure shea butter, and used to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. I used that as well. I also used pure vitamin e oil.

In the end, mine have faded quite a bit with mederma, but I still got them. *shrug* Alot of it's genetics.

When I was pregnant I rubbed pure Vitamin E oil all over myself twice a day. I don't know if it was the oil or genetics, but I didn't get one stretch mark.
