I normally buy stuff online or at the store in town. They do custom stuff, but it's always the same shit in different materials. And somehow, if you give them a new design it ends up mass-produced. Needless to say, I don't buy from them unless I need to. It's hard to find the right kind of material at fabric stores, so I'm not sure where you would get the materials you needed to make the outfits.

I have a very good costumer. I can't sew to save my life and he makes my outfits ... and does a damn great fantastic job.

I refuse to buy an outfit these days when I can easily print it off the internet and get my costumer to make a mock-up of it .... ends up being so much better value and better quality.

Where do you find the materials? I can't find anything with the right stretch.

I just got me a costumer too. He and I haven't officially met yet but I'm excited. He is a costumer for trannies and stuff and he just got a website up, he has ALOT of talent. I got his number from the theatrical company down the street from me. The owner of that place recommended him to me.

There used to be a man that visited the club and sewed the outfits for drag shows in town, but that was years ago. I'd love to find him again.

I get a lot of fabric from NY and LA but you can find a lot at fabric stores. Just ask a salesperson if you can't find anything, usually it's in a swimwear/dance section.

He's awesome! He's busy for the rest of this month, but in late June/July him and I are going to get together, and go over some costume ideas for me! Woohoo!!!

I do sew my own corsets... and may start doing my own costumes. Well, I'd like to anyways.

Currently most of my stuff is either online, or from a local costume shop that went out of business. THat was more because i need it FAST, and didn't want to wait to search out the right fabrics, etc.

Ah well. i'll get around to it!
