My club is honest about it too, and will even give me messages from customers that called.

Summer afternoon - Summer afternoon... the two most beautiful words in the English language. Henry James

In the Philadelphia area, most clubs have a recording saying which dancers are scheduled that day, that usually gets updated at around 3:00 a.m. The exceptions are Delilah's, small clubs like the Gold Club, places with lots of turnover like Crazy Horse Too and places where the management can't be bothered to keep up (I think Dangerous Curves is still listing dancers from a day in May of 2006 on their recording).
Usually, if you call even those without the recordings, they'll at least tell you either who's already there or who's scheduled for that day/evening.
I've always thought it is smart business for dancers to let their customers (especially regulars) know when they are working and are risking potential earnings if they don't. With that in mind, a customer shouldn't have to call unless he's inquiring about a stripper he just met and there had not yet been an opportunity to exchange cell numbers, email addresses etc.

Once again I have embraced my addiction and have put off the moral dilemma to another day.
