OKay ladies,
So I've been trying a few new pole tricks since I got a pole at home and basically most of my practice (for the reason that it is alot of practice) has been barefoot. And I managed to master an upside down trick where I can basically kick my legs up to go to whatever like grip or go into spread eagle etc. but barefoot. So when I put on my heels to try a real work situation I flopped. I can't even get my leg high enough to grip the pole. And this is mostly upsetting b/c I can do full splits so it shouldn't be out of the normal for me to do that kind of a trick. Honestly if anything I thought that the leather of my shoes would have provided me with more grip not less. So I'm left wondering wtf? Is there anything you girls can offer me in terms of things I should work on, that this is normal, why this is the case, etc etc. Hell maybe its just me but I can't help but notice the difference in heels. I only dance in 4" heels, lol I walk the city sidewalks in 3" heels so what really is the difference?? Please help! I'm sure this is a newbie mistake and I really want to learn but do I really have to spend all my hours of practice in my heels if I can walk w/o a problem? I always thought pole trick were easier in them with the leather grips.....btw I dance in open toe black leather shoes with a strap that goes around the ankles and like I said only 4" b/c I'm already 5'10 and dont wanna look amazon. lol
