I guess I am little technically challenged here but how do you go about hooking up a MP3 player in your car? I am renting a new car and don't know what cable I need or how much it costs to get installed?

FM Transmitters can be had for $40 or less I paid 15 for mine It is ok, as long as I leave it in the right spot. You just plug it into the cigarette lighter, and put it where it blocks the signal and Bob's your uncle.
Some stereos support Ipods and I'd wager usb connections, and many aftermarket cd players can handle cds with mp3s on them.
I've come a long way since I believed in anything, and I've come half way around the world.
Where you come from is gone.
Where you thought you were going to was never there,
and where you are, ain't no good unless you can get away from it.

you can also use the auxiliary input if the car has one (the headphones jack) with a special cable that has an output on both ends. You plug one end into the headphones input on your mp3 player, and the other end goes into the headphones input of the car
Nice avatar, King Air? Where might I find that cable, Radio Shack?
