OK so a girl came in to my club today to audition... relatively poor dancer, nothing special. We're short on girls though, and anything that makes my schedule easier...
I was heading up to do my set after her audition, and she PLANTED herself by the one guy at the tip rail, talked to him for half my first song, and gave him her number. Rude, but no big deal.
This guy though, I know him. I've seen him about 3 times since I started working at that club, he recognizes me, knows me by name, and ALWAYS asks some variant of "will you come home with me" or "will you do a ... private ... performance for me?" etc. He stays till the end of my set, then leaves the club..
You'd think with it being an audition, she'd be on her best behavior-but she ALREADY came in, tried to talk the DJ/scheduling person into letting her do a one song audition, instead of a two song set "if she got naked in a hurry-cuz she had to be out of there ASAP", and was being somewhat odd...
Our club tends to keep TIGHT track of what goes on-i don't think I've ever seen an extra happen here, though probably I just don't know...Our version of an extra might be actually lightly grinding with a customer during a private dance, instead of the air thing(I've had that happen ONCE when he shifted, and I misjudged how far away from him I was. I just backed away and did something else, and i don't think anyone was any the wiser. still.)
I told my DJ about it when I got off from my set, asked him if he was planning on hiring her, and explained what I saw. he didn't say anything heads or tails, so I don't know if i'm making a big deal of nothing, or if he seriously thought about what trouble she could be(he already said he didn't like her attitude after the "get naked fast" thing...)
So the only way I can read the situation is
1. She lied about the other club where she worked. Shes a NEW dancer, and doesnt realize her behavior was rude, and may or may not be aware of the attention that trading contact info brings.
2. Her former club is a REAL dive, so she has poor dancing skills, and is used to little supervision, and getting away with hooking up with custy's later.
3. She knew the guy, or he didnt proposition her(though he's propositioned me, as well as other dancers i know) and was simply re-catching up with someone she recognized.
I guess it sort of bothers me-I mean, it didn't LOOK like it could be number three, no obvious "recognition" faces, or "how are hte kids" that I noticed. I just don't want to think that my mentioning it to the DJ might have influenced the decision whether or not to hire her if she WASN'T doing what it looked to me like she was(trying to get a trick).
am I just being a nosy person jumping to conclusions?
