so, I wanted to tell you ladies about what I'm going through and see if anyone has experienced the same thing and what remedies I could try to treat it before seeing a physician. I wrote (and deleted) this whole huge paragraph about why I'm reluctant to go to a doctor right now, but trust me I will be going soon.
1) My stomach is pretty distended, more than its ever been before. It looks better (but still swollen) when I first wake up and gets worse throughout the day.
2) I havent been experiencing any constipation, diarrhea, or gas.
3) When I lay on my back and kneed my abdomen its all completely hard around my belly button and just below and above it.
4) Today I was feeling the mass while standing and it moved slightly and went back into place.
5) I can feel my pulse in the mass when when I push firmly on it but it isnt painful to touch it.
6) I've had this for quite a few months and gained around 20 pounds with it even though I didnt really change my diet and was getting exercise.
Ive been looking online for possible causes. Worst case it could be something that I'd definitely need treated by a doctor - but maybe its simply a fecal impaction? I was thinking I could try the lemonade colon cleanse for a week, try an enema, and increase my fiber and see if that helps. I just want to make 100% sure its not something thats common or treatable at home before I spend money on a doctor that will tell me its something common that I could have treated myself for at home. also, when I was on a low carbohydrate diet where I was eating only protein, non-fat dairy, and vegetables a while back I noticed a reduction in my bulging abdomen. my sister suggested I may have a gluten intolerance - but would it cause these other symptoms?
Have any of you experienced something like this?
