My workout varies.......today I went on a long hike through a beautiful forest. Sometimes I do weights and cardio, sometimes I do bikram yoga.





yeah, i change mine up. one the days that i dont have time/feel like doing an actual workout, i just do squats, crunches, pushups, stuff like that.
but on workout days.. i am a PICKY girl. my favorite dvd is The Method: Cardio Boot Camp by Tracy Mallett. i actually DO it, because she changes what you do so fast that you cant get bored. it is repetitive, but its like cycles, if that makes sense. and they change order, too, so you arent just doing the same over and over.
ive also used crunch dvds for a low dose of cardio, just to get moving. they're not too much of a workout when you're learning the steps in the dance ones, but i like the "fat burning ab attack" one. theyre kind of like in my back pocket if i want to have fun and only do them every once in a while.
Anything BUT the gym
hiking, yoga, stretching, calisthenics, pilates, walking, biking, canoeing.
I prefer outdoor activities to anything though... sometimes even over yoga, yoga bores me if I'm not in the right mindset. Hiking in the woods is my all time favorite though, you lose track of time and 2 hours of trekking seems like nothing.
-- oh yeah and my weekly bellydance session (3-4 hours) at the drum circle is awesome![]()
like many here have said, its good to vary your routine- i enjoy yoga, hiking, jogging, swimming, and biking. but if you're looking for a good workout video to do at home, i'd recommend billy blanks tae bo, its a pretty hardcore workout.





um, i woke up and walked to the kitchen, fed the cat, went back to bed, woke up and have been on the internet, had lunch (walk to the kitchen), feed the cat at 5pm (walk to the kitchen)what workout?
I get my workout at work! I'm serious.
When I finally move home, I will be riding my bicycle a little more and have access to a gym. Since the gym is part and parcel of living in the complex I will use it (as I'm already paying for it as part of the rent)...
