    Default Harry Potter

    Okay - - -

I know SW is way past apoligizing to justify occasional to excessive dorkiness - so I'm just going to be glad that ya'll love me anyways and get right into it.

Its the time nearing the release of a new book...and the LAST book at that...

    Which means...

Its that time where I start obsessively rereading every book and lurking all over Harry Potter forums and theory websites and putting together a costume for the release *party.

So I've scrounged up some information that Rowling has let slip about the new book and put together some hints she dropped in her interviews...

I'll keep them to myself so's not to give anything away to people who don't like...well things being given away.

But siriusly....I gotta talk to someone about this shit!

Is Snape good or bad? Gahh.

    Okay. I'm done.

    * = shut up.

The book date release is on my 21st b-day. I've never read any of them but I'm thinking about trying to read all of that before than... I'm not sure though. You might have just enspired a major summer read-fest for me though Pooka.

Lol it's not hard to read all the HP books because once you start you can't stop. I know when the book comes out I'm not going to stop except for bathroom and food breaks!

And I think Snape is .....bad.

I bought the first one for my son originally, and now I have read them all. I think Snape MIGHT be good. I'm unsure on that one. I Think Ron and Hermione might hook up. I also think Harry could very well die in the new book. Or he'll lose his powers after a fight with Valdemort. I dunno. They're corny, but entertaining. Much more so then the new Palahniuk book which I can't seem to get thru at all.

They clearly established that Dumbledore makes mistakes. And Snape KILLED him. He's evil.

I found this still photo recently, indicating that Ms. Rowling is introducing a kinky plot twist...

niiiiiiiiiiiiice photo! Where'd you find it?

My aunt bought the first harry potter for my sister when it topped the bestseller list, and I've been at every midnight premiere since that one came out! I don't expect this to be any exception.

I do enjoy them... As to snape, yeah I think that was just dumbledores last mistake(although I imagine he's not REALLY gone since he'll have a portrait in the headmasters office...)

Oh. And my "geek shirt?" Its a Harry Potter Tshirt with a wizards hat on it. Why is it my geek sh irt? Because its from BEFORE daniel radcliffe was the face of harry! JK had JUST sold WB the merch rights, but none of the movies were out. I wear it to the movies and sneer at all the kiddies in the ones who have an actors face in their shirt. *blushes*

I think there was more to the story than Snape just killed Dumbledore. I don't wanna say I think he's good, cause that would be my bias (I'm in love with Alan Rickman - Snape in the movies) kicking in, but I think there's a chance he could fool us.

Well yes, Snape killed him, but what if he was under that curse? Damn I can't think of the name. I never liked Snape though; The Slytherins always seemed evil to me.

    And LOL at that photo

OMFG - that picture looks so real. Kinda turnin me on a little....heh heh.

I don't think Snape was under the imperius curse - - - maybe Dumbledore knew that Snape would die if he didn't carry out the orders of his vow and he for some reason highly valued snape's existence - maybe he made some unbreakable vow with Dumbledore too about protecting Harry - - - I dont know - but when Snape has his wand pointed at Dumbledore - - - Dumbledore begs him - but maybe he wasnt begging for his life? Maybe he was begging for him to kill him and maybe the look of "loathing" on Snapes face was at what he had to do. Oh gosh. Im bad at theories but still.

I just wanted to say that I CAN'T WAIT to find out how the series finally ends. Also, when the last movie finally comes out on DVD I am going to have an awesome marathon with many edible items and costumes and watch them age onscreen and it will be awesome. The end.

Hmmm, interesting. Actually Pooka, that last theory is really good. But now I want to know why Snape had to kill Dumbledore. Less than two months left dagnabbit!

And I want Sirius to come back

I apologize for not keeping up on the Harry Potter but I must ad that Snape is HOT imo.

Please flaunt your dorkiness and I will get back to my dorky obessions that are far too frightening to be mentioned here. That is all...and now back to the sexy dorkiness.....

Oh, don't worry - I have a completely unnatural obsession with movie-snape/Alan Rickman. Oh gosh...I'm getting all bothered thinking about it now. Just so it be known - I would hit it. I have a fantasy of him and Lucius - Jason Isaacs. Oh lawd. I gotta stop.

I have a t-shirt that says "Muggle" on it - but I think Imma get the Wendy The Wizard costume to wear to the party. Hopefully Borders doesn't kick me out. (By the way - all credits to me finding that costume go to Darcy Foxx! Cause I saw her sexy ass wearing it)

    But.................yeah, seriously, I can't wait.

Wow, that costume is totally and completely awesome! (Damnit, I feel like such a valley girl today --I think I need to rent that movie now). I think I'm going to have a new fantasy now about stumbling upon a school of girls in those. So much hotter than regular school girl getups.

I agree. I would totally hit both of them. The first time I saw a Harry Potter movie I was babysitting and thinking "this is going to blow" but Snape's sexiness saved the day. The Snape and Lucius are right on my fantasy list after a David Bowie/Freddy Mercury romp. I totally have a thing for older British men I guess.

I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking they are sexy even though they must be older than my parents.

I think Snape is good, Harry and the trio will live and if she harms a hair on Molly or Aurthur's head I'll never forgive her!

I can't wait for this book!! Squeee!

Oh, and I agree, Snape is hot. Yum....snarky-goodness.

Some proof that Snape was working on Dumbledore's orders when he killed him: *Look at the wording during the cave scene where Harry has to feed Dumbledore the potion. "Hating himself, repulsed by what he was doing, Harry forced the goblet back toward Dumbledore's mouth...." Now look at the similarity in tower scene right before Snape killed Dumbledore, "Snape for a moment gazed at Dumbledore, and there was revulsion and hatred etched in the harsh lines of his face."

    *Italics are mine, not JKR's.

Good points^^^^. That is what I was thinking, too - the sixth book, especially towards the end, uses a TON of paralells. Almost on every page it seems like, and she usually has a point for every diction tactic that she uses.
