The question is which part of Cali do you like more, Norcal or Socal? Which one did you pick and why?
* I pick Norcal cause this is my hometown and i just prefer the "bayness" to the Los Angeles area.....![]()

NorCal POR VIDA BABYEES!
& SoCal, thanks for taking our water. Send us your succulent and bendable Hollywood starlets as a flesh tribute for this precious water we so kindly help provide via the California Aqueduct.
Like, NOW.
(Or we'll deport you to Montana...you won't be able to handle that)
I prefer SoCal because of the weather and beaches.
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

Anywhere south of Los Angeles is fine with me.
I live in SoCal but I LOVE NorCal. The southern part of the state is a wasteland. The north, gorgeous.
Mojave versus wine country....
Death Valley versus Muir Woods....
Urban sprawl versus urban character....
Huntington Beach versus Monterrey.....
San Bernadinos versus the Sierras....
So I'm liking Norcal, except that San Diego and the surrounding area is lovely. But who does the Central Coast belong to?

I don't really care. If I could have things entirely my way, I'd pack up Boyfriend and move back to Phoenix!![]()
The people in NorCal are generally less shallow, and I like that. I liked San Fran's culture more than LA, yet the weather here is a lot better. There are good and bad points to both, but I'm getting the hell out of Cali either way. It's not worth the cost of living.
NorCal all the way, Sacto is my hometown, the Bay area is my stomping grounds and the Tahoe area was my playland and home for awhile. I did the San Diego thing for awhile, which isnt bad at all, but it's pretty much the only part of SoCal I like!

AHEM what about central californialol

I just moved to San Fernando Valley about 10 months ago and have yet to venture up north, so I don't know if I could give a fair opinion..
So far I have learned that I don't dig the superficiality that IS L.A. I thanks God that we did not set up shop in that city as I would be gone by now. I also hate the fucking traffic.
On the other hand, I ADORE the weather in SoCal.
We drove to san diego the other day and I CAN say I would probably like to live there. Just seemed to have less of that snotty air to it. Much more laid back. Me likey.
I hate LA. As someone else said take LA out of the equation and SoCal for sure. Love the beaches and laid back atmosphere of the beach towns.
NoCal for me. Haha, but yeah, I do enjoy visiting NorthCal.

Although I lived in San Luis Obispo for 7 years for school, and I loved it. The Central Coast is the most beautiful part of California, IMO.
I would move back in a heart beat.

I looovveee the San Francisco Bay Area!!! I lived in Hayward. I love the wine country, too. I'd move to Frisco if I could afford it. SoCal looked a little ghetto to me (no offense, please!). I heard San Diego is just a treasure of it's own, never been there, and would like to go someday.

i loved in norcal for four years and loved it. it's beautiful up there.
but i grew up in l.a. and no matter where i move to, i always end up getting homesick for this city. so i'd say i'm a socal girl in the end...
I was born and raised in San Diego, so I would probably miss it if I left (mostly for the people though). Largely I am unimpressed with this area of the state. I really dislike LA, but if I was a model, or in porno, or hollywood, or rich and shallow and fashionable i might like it. I will NOT buy property in southern california. it's a total ripoff!
I don't have enough experience with norcal to pass judgement, but my bf and roommates grew up there and love it, except for the weather.![]()
LA is alot of things, gheeto, superficial, etc, but I stil love it, it's my home and always has been.

My hometown is the biggity biggity O (for those unaware- OAKLAND) and I now reside in SF... so of course NorCal. Town n' Sco bizness what is it!!!![]()

wow...i had no idea i was any of those things. well, fashionable, yeah...but the rest, man, apparently i've been living a secret life even I didn't know about![]()
the thing that really amazes me is how quick people are to generalize about a place or the people who live there and how they tend to do so with a certain attitude that implies they are ever so much better. it's kind of pathetic. and honestly, if you're happy where you're living, who the hell cares what people are like in the places you Don't live?
we get it. a lot of people hate l.a. a lot of people hate people who live in l.a. a lot of people feel superior to people who actually like l.a who the fuck cares?! the thread asks "which one do you prefer," not, "why is some other place a hell hole?" you don't sound nearly as cool as you think you do, so give it a rest.

LA.
It sucks for work here at the moment...but I fucking love it! One of the sexiest cities there is![]()
