    Default The Happy Hellhole Hotel

The club I was at this weekend tried to put me in this piece of shit hotel that had live wires exposed in the rooms, mold on the floors and walls, piles of dirt on the floors, and fucking DUCT TAPE keeping in the windows. Oh, did I mention the air conditioning didn't work either? No, it was not just one room, I tried more than 2 before I said there was no way in hell I would stay there. The guy running the hotel didn't see a problem with the condition of the place, which made it even worse.

I told the club I was at that there was no way in hell I would stay there, and they told me that there were no rooms at any other hotel in the whole town, but I refused to go back to that hellhole and told them they would have to find something for me to stay in. I wasn't trying to be a bitch, but seriously, that hotel was not safe. I ended up at the Super 8, and it was like a fucking Ritz compared to the place I was originally going to be staying.

Anybody else ever walk into a hotel and refuse to stay there because it was that far gone?

OMG. when I went to Tuscon.
I studpuly didnt do any research, and when I got to Tuscon, I poulled off the first exit I saw with rooms, and went to the Motel 6. Usually, they are cheap and not bad to stay in. This place had paint peelin off the walls, and a pubic hair in the bathtub. I figured, if they left pubs in the tub, how clean were the sheets gonna be?
I asked for a refund, and went over to HoJo's

They were worse! 5 pubic hairs in the tub, the dresser next to the bed had burns, grafiti, the drawer was half hanging out and off. Paint chipping off the walls, the lights were kind of hanging by the wires on the walls.

I asked him wtf? Told them i just came frm Motel 6 and it was nasty, though tthis place woudl be better, he said, well..thoes are our unremodeled rooms, but they are still nice. I was soo tired from driving, I had a shoot early the next day, I was exausted. I didnt feel like checkign out of another hotel, I figured, if 2 are liek that, so will the 3rd. So I stayed.
I HATED Tucson. I guess I pulled off the wrong part of town, cause nothign was in English, noone spoke english, it was real ghetto and scary. Everythign was run down and broken.

Worst place I ever stayed was the Tilton Hilton in Key West. Holy crap that place is a dump.

I stayed at a Motel 6 in Beaumont Texas once that had, I swear, cum stains on the wall next to the bed.

I haven't been to hotels that bad!

The worst I've been to is the Penny Saver Inn near Disneyland. The paint was peeling off the bathroom walls. Paint was peeling everywhere. The pool looked like someone filled it with a garden hose and didn't put any chlorne in it!

There are some horrible ones in Daytona.

The ones that take the cake are the cabins in Ross Tasmania... No toilets and while clean, they were missing something. I know something is wrong if The Empress will not take off her shoes inside. We left earlier than I thought possible and I think my wife hit 200+KPH on the way to Hobart.

My worst hotel was a Motel 6 in TN. The bathroom smelled like an old person's armpit. The sheets were so old they were like..rubbed bare to the mattress. Maybe I'm picky but the towels were on a rod directly above the toilet in the arm-pit bathroom. I wore flip flops in the shower, dried myself off with one of my t-shirts, and slept fully clothed, jeans and all, on a pair of my sweatpants.

    Palace Inn in Houston, Tx.

Basically, just a whorehouse, with hourly rates, XXX movies at no extra charge(best part of the deal), and dirty floors and bedding.

Also, a constant flow of Ho's and their tricks 24/7.

BTW: Gingerlee, where was your "Happy Hellhole"?

the budget inn, daytona beach. hahaha oh god, i cant stop laughing. That place was horrible. The owner(well atleast thats what he told me) or manager or just some guy that worked there, he is from india and he would act like he didnt understand english. He would just randomly unlock the door and come into the room, one morning he busts in the room NAKED. my friend FREAKED OUT on him, she had a pocked knife and totally scared him off with it, and hes all "ok ok sorry ok ok' in perfect english.

There was a rat in the shower. On one of the sheets, there was a huge pee stain. oh and there is a hole in the shower hot pink tile about the size of a half dollar, half of the room had carpet and half was that plastic fake looking tile stuff...the tv didnt work. the lights in the bathroom didnt work, and there was no bathroom door. i would randomly wake up in the middle of the night cause i thought bugs were on me or something. maybe the rats lol also alot of hookers would bang on the door looking for people.

Awwww, c'mon, the Palace is the shit. The room with thes stripper pole and the huge hot tub in the middle, now that's class act! And the Scottish Inn, next to St. James...good times, good times

But one of the worst ones I remember was the place Bridgette and I stayed in in NOLA...believe it was a Days Inn in Midtown, yikes! But it was livable.

I've slept on the floors of filthy European youth hostels with 25 drunk dudes, I can handle about anything...

I sure have walked out of my share of hotels. I'm a picky little bitch sometimes; we walked out of the Sarasota Hilton and the Chicago W for differing reasons. And yet I spent more than one night at the Admiral Benbow Inn in Memphis, a notorious flophouse. But now I'm spoilt. That place in ATL was rundown (but it wasn't unsafe). And Bridgette and Emily can testify to my reaction to the dancer housing in Philly.

Anyhow, I don't know that I would trust any club to put me up -- I'd prefer the cash to book my own accommodations. Ginger, what city were you in?

Yes...but this was out of the country, mind you, in Singapore. I had told the local cab driver to take me to a nice, decent, not too pricey hotel. The lobby of the hotel was pretty nice, but as soon as I walked into the room it smelled of strong, old sewer- pipe funk! The room was so small that I couldn't even lay my suitcase down on the floor (had to stand it up sideways next to the bed to even open it)!...It was FFRREEEEEZZZING COLD (no thermostat to adjust), and there was only one thin sheet to cover myself up with all night! Thin sheets were also used as curtains for this lovely establishment. I was so exhausted and jetlag from my plane trip, though, that I ended up just passing out and staying the night anyway. I actually got decent rest, but I woke up with a sore throat and a cold due to the temperature. In the morning, I bolted outta there like my feet were on fire! Weird thing was, is that they actually served a delicious buffet-style breakfast in a decent dining room setting downstairs!!??? Like I said...it was Singapore...and I'm glad I survived!

I used to do some outcall BDSM sessions in random hotel rooms. And quite a few of them were not exactly sanitary. Mostly the bad ones were in Niagara Falls and some in Amherst, NY. I've had heating and cooling systems not work, windows cracked, old armpit smell, random hairs, crusty comforters...the "funniest" dirty thing was when I was leaving and the slave stood up to get dressed and his knees were black from being in that position on the nasty carpet. I didn't exactly mind those crappy hotels in a way because I didn't have to stay there and it added to the aesthetic.
I walked into a room in a Marriot in NYC once that smelled like vomit and broccoli. My friend and I switched rooms after calling down to the desk. At least they didn't give us any shit. Luckily I brought my can of Lysol with me, which is one of my prized travel companions. I always spray down faucet knobs and door handles.

Niagara Falls - I guess you must be talking about the NY side. On the Canadian side I stayed at one of the best hotels without paying a whole lot of money. The Embassy was great with a huge tub in the middle of the room and a great view of the Falls. Stay there if you get the chance. I would go there again in a heartbeat.

The Blue Lagoon in Key West. Roaches...A/C had on and off..thats it..so you were either sweating or freezing...NO heat(and stayed once in Feb when it was actually cold..had to sleep in sweatshirts)...the shower is literally a pipe sticking out of the wall. No shower head...just a pipe. Like showering under the backyard hose.

It was in Muncie Indiana. I was so grossed out by this place, I don't I'll ever be somewhere worse, and I've been to some ghetto hotels.

See, that place is like a sleazy honeymoon suite, and I'd always wanted to go to one of those after I saw Superman II ( I think that's the one in Niagra Falls). I think I tore a muscle up on that pole that night.

Which club were you at in Muncie Ginger?

Oh, my hotel had to be one in Columbus. My friend and I went when we were 19 for a concert, and every decent hotel we went to said we couldn't get a room cause neither one of us were 21 and they had a bar in the hotel. So at the last place, the guy at the desk pointed us across the road, but said we were more than welcome to come use their indoor pool....... imagine that.

This hotel literally had a drive-thru check-in. Yeah...... enough said.

I actually worked at a motel that was so fucking nasty I wouldn't allow anyone I knew to stay there. I wouldn't allow them to DIE there, shit! The owners were a couple of old gay guys...I thought gay guys were impeccably fastidious and fashionable, but no, the carpets were stained and the furniture was worse than what you can find at the Salvation Army, no kidding.
Bleh. I would rather sleep in a car than stay in one of those rooms.

Yes...there's a big stretch of road called Niagara Falls Blvd. that runs all the way from Niagara Falls, NY to Amherst/Buffalo. It's sprinkled with dirtbag motels all along the way.
The Canadian NF is not really like this though. There are some beautiful spots up there.

Oh. Nothing that exciting. There was just a girl that I worked with that started out there. Her first night was going in with a fake id underage as a custie. Guys were tipping her on the floor, so management convinced her to work. So that's where she started stripping. She just said it's basically a dive with lots of extras, and the girls are slightly lacking. Most come to work with no makeup and just wear random clothes. Not stripper stuff. Nothing too fun, just a dirty, small extras bar.
