Default I don't wanna jinx it, but...

Y'all might remember a few things about my cat's vomit problem. On a near-daily basis, he was puking on my white sofa (and ONLY on my white sofa, grrr). We were constantly being woken up at night to that heaving, retching sound. The vet said some cats just have sensitive stomachs and he's fine.

Well, I was feeding him Purina One and they raised the price. I figured what the hey, let's try a different food and see if he still yaks everywhere. I bought a bag of , which was actually cheaper and has no artificial fillers in it - just meats and veggies.

Well, he hasn't thrown up in a month. I offer this information for the benefit of cat owners everywhere. I tried phasing in the new food by blending it with the Purina One, but he wouldn't eat the Purina One anymore so I threw it out. And my white couch is staying white.

This concludes my second and last product recommendation for the day, LOL! Not to spam, but I'm very pleased that I've made these little discoveries.

Thank you for the recommendation, it's not spam. The cats here have been barfing (old, cranky, fat yenta cats!) & we might need to change their food.

I had a cat that was allergic to cat food & she would thow up any processed cat food (wet, dry, semi-moist)...She only ate human food & rodents. Someone said she probably had an allergy to gluten or corn fillers.

^^^ That makes sense. Plenty of humans are allergic to gluten, so it makes sense some cats would be too. My cat is also old, cranky and fat. He's not normally a picky eater, but when I first tried blending the foods he would eat this stuff and then scream. I tried to finish off the Purina One but he simply would not eat it. And it's weird, he eats less of this Goodlife food... I guess it's got more nutrition so he doesn't need to eat as much of it. Maybe overeating the Purina was what made him throw up all the time? He doesn't use the litterbox as often, either, or shed as much.

I just Googled this food and found out it's pretty new on the market. Hopefully it stays around, because I sure am loving my nice white sofa.

Thats great! My cats puke all the time...always have. I currently feed Science Diet...my female is EXTREMELY picky and wont eat anything but her Science diet dry food. No wet, no treats, no human food...nothing. (and she's still a tubby-butt!). My male is a bit more flexible...he lived on the streets for awhile after his previous owners apparently threw him out...not sure how long, but we saw him lurking around the neighborhood for at least a few months before he knocked on our door and invited himself in! So I guess he's more of the "whatever tastes good, eat it" type!

I'll look into this though. Who makes it do you know? I prefer no supermarket type food(I'm a pet food snob being an ex-vet tech). But whatever is best for my babies...I'll pay top dollar for their food.

It is a supermarket food, and Mars manufactures it. (Yes, the candy bar people.) But given that Iams made my cat throw up everywhere, and I can't afford the high-dollar pet foods, I am thrilled with this one. Buddy is healthy and looking good, he's not shedding or shitting as much as he used to, and he's not puking. AND the food is cheap. So I'm pleased!

Definitely not spam, if I had a puking cat I'd be happy to read this.

Most cats will puke from time to time and think nothing of it, but it's kind of a pain in the ass to clean up. if it happened all the time that would get old.

As you know, I wish I had to worry about it, lol...

When we got the kittens, we tried Science Diet, and they hated it.
We switched to Purino Pro PLan( which can't be bough in supermarkets, just pet stores) and they like it, its really healthy, and we've stayed on that ever since.
It's expensive, $17 for a big container, but I only neeed to buy it maybe once a month, so it's actually not all that expensive, and I feel its worth it.

However...if you found a supermarket food that works, good for you.
The pro Plan just got a new kind out that is all natural, so I just bought that last time I got food, to try it out, and they seem to like it so far.
