    Default interesting developments...

    ...in my neck area.
kinda weird, but theres a series of some kind of like... lumps? close to my esophagus. definately strange.
    and its painful.
its not on my skin... its like... inside.
not freaked out yet. haha! but definitly weirded out.
noticed it when i woke up, and its started hurting, kinda like a bruise.
which, considering my weird ass dream last night, could further interesting-ate things.
its not my glands... like when you get sick. but more towards the center... like if i poke at it, it pushes against my esophogus and chokes me. maybe i should stop poking it?

just thought i'd share that tidbit of kind of gross information with you...

poll: who here thinks i should
    1-go the dr asap
2-see if it goes away, and if its still there in a month go to the dr
3-ignore it and eventually possible die from some sort of mysterious throat cancer

i'm voting for 3. because i HATE going to the dr. problem is, its not that far from likely. my mom just told me that apparently my uncle had hodgkins disease when he was 21. and that he almost died from it. (hodgkins is cancerous swelling of the lymph nodes in the neck area)
however, i'm pretty damn sure i dont have it. because:
1-hodgkins is supposedly painless. i'm experiencing pain, although that might be due to the poking...
    2-i'm not that lucky.
3-i dont think its my lymph nodes. unless my lymph nodes have moved recently, and didnt give me their forwarding address.

i hope you all have wonderful hodgkins disease free nights, and lives (in the event that i die a sudden drastic, and weird lump-in-the-neck related death)
    goodnight!

I would make in appointment with your Dr. if it continues to worry you. Better to be safe than sorry, seriously! Best of luck!

i'm not entirely sure exactly what it is... i'm gonna call the dr mondayish, and see whats up... apparently lumps in the throat area aren't a good thing? several websites saying that it could be nothing, or it could be something really bad! but its definitly getting larger!

I vote for you to see a doctor ASAP.

My dad had hodgkins lymphoma. He woke up one morning and had a huge lump in his neck. When he went to the doctor the doctor said it was very lucky he came in as soon as he found it as the lump was pressing against his coroted artery and could have cut off the blood supply and caused a stroke.
It is also a very treatable type of cancer if treated early. My dad has been in full remission since he initally had the disease in 1997.

Don't take the fact that it's painful as proof that it's not something such as cancer. My friend had a lump in his testicle and it was painful, it turned out to be cancer.

Im sorry if this scares you but you should never ignore lumps.

    Most likely nothing.
Could be a swollen lymph node. (Which is usually harmless)

    Go see the doctor.
Most old people have lumps, but are painless.
When I went to see a surgeon (I believe), he cut it out in 5 minutes on the initial visit.
