    Default Hobbyist Groups

    Hey guys,

I've been thinking it would be beneficial and fun if I could find a hobby group to join. While my community college has cool classes, I'd rather not pay tuition on a fun class when I don't really have it. Anybody know of any sites that list all the different kinds of hobbyist groups in certain areas?

    LOL, I didn't know either.

What's a person gotta do to get a Subaru club going? I see VW clubs doing group city drives all the time. Thing is, I don't want people who are think they are so "elite" that they'd laugh at my car. (It's been in some accidents.) I want people who don't necessarily care if you do jack shit to your car, just that you love them.

well... i suppose it depends on what you like to do. I wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle, so I took a safety course, got my license, joined up w/ a local sportbike forum, met some amazing people, and we go on rides/have events... I just got home from my first canyon ride! Indescribable. There are hobbyist groups for everything you can imagine, from knitting to writing to fetish to running... do a google search for shit in your area, or try craigslist groups?

Embyr is absolutely right, it depends on what you like to do, or what you think you would like. Also, don't just jump right in, do some research, try it first see if you would like it, then you can purchase what you need (assuming you need them )...

For example, I've taken up cycling, but I wasn't sure if it would be for me, so I bought a cheap target bike first for 100 bucks. I rode that for a few months till I got serious about cycling. Then I bought a $700 bike 2 years ago, a beginner's road bike. Now I'm passed the beginner stage and I have moved up and got my 1$700 bike. (Actually just did my first century (100 miles) on Friday).

If you audit a course at PCC it's only $40, I believe. You don't get credit for the course (and you don't have to take tests or do homework) but you get to participate and go.

    No problemo, neighbor.

It's actually really nice if you want to learn another language but don't want to pay the full tuition at 4-5 credits.

I have a hobbie......I keep fish. You should look into it. It's fun. Watching a fish tank is almost theraputic.

What kind of hobbies are you looking into?
100% natural jacked, no proteins, you only got 1 liver.
